TURBOFAN ENGINE COMPRISING A SET OF ROTATABLE BLADES FOR BLOCKING OFF THE BYPASS FLOW DUCT AND REDIRECTING THE AIR FLOW

An engine including a motor and a nacelle and a duct between the nacelle and the motor. The nacelle includes a fixed structure, a mobile assembly that is mobile between an advanced position and a retracted position to define a window between the duct and the outside, and a plurality of blades that are mobile in rotation between a stowed position and a deployed position, each one extending on either side of its axis of rotation with a first arm and a second arm. In the stowed position, the first arm is outside the duct and the second arm is inside the nacelle, and where, in the deployed position, the first arm is across the duct and the second arm projects out of the nacelle. With such blades, the flow of air is optimally directed towards the front without it being necessary to provide cascades.

A nacelle having a fan casing, a cowl that movable between an advanced position and a retracted position that opens an opening between a bypass duct and the outside, deflectors secured to the mobile cowl, wherein, in the advanced position, they are around the fan casing and wherein, in the retracted position, they are across the opening, and a fan ramp with a mounting base and flaps that are able to rotate on the mounting base between a stowed position and a deployed position. For each flap, the fan ramp has a return element that urges the flap) into the deployed position, and the deflectors have a stop in contact with the flap when the mobile cowl passes from the retracted position to the advanced position. Thus, in the advanced position, the flaps are folded back and their bulk is reduced.

A manufacturing process is provided during which a thrust reverser cascade is formed for an aircraft propulsion system. During the formation of the thrust reverser cascade, a first panel of material is stamped into a first corrugated body. A second panel of material is stamped into a second corrugated body. The first corrugated body is bonded to the second corrugated body.

Grating for the formation of a reverse flow of an aircraft turbofan engine

A grating for the formation of a reverse flow of a turbofan engine and comprising fins of a first type having a curved profile whose rounding is oriented aft and whose center of curvature is forward relative to the fin of the first type, fins of a second type having a curved profile whose rounding is oriented aft and whose center of curvature is forward relative to the fin of the second type. In this grating, each fin of one of the two types is inserted between two fins of the other type moving from forward to aft and the cord of the fins of the second type is smaller than the cord of the fins of the first type.

DAMPER SEALS FOR ROTATING DRUMS IN TURBOMACHINES

A damper seal for a turbomachine includes an annular body having an inner circumferential surface and an outer circumferential surface separated by a thickness. As such, the inner circumferential surface may define a plurality of cavities arranged into a plurality of circumferential rows and at least one partition positioned between at least two of the plurality of cavities. In addition, the inner circumferential surface may further define at least one plenum arranged between two of the plurality of circumferential rows.

Thrust reverser cascade

A thrust reverser cascade can include a peripheral frame having at least one side. At least one plate can be mounted to the at least one side and have a plurality of spaced grooves. In addition, a plurality of vanes can include corresponding terminal ends positioned in the plurality of spaced grooves.

Disclosed is a thrust reverser for a device receiving a propulsion element, such as a turbojet engine nacelle. The thrust reverser includes a stationary structure having a deflector deflecting at least a portion of the air flow that is to flow through the nacelle, a translatably movable cap that can be in a closed position in which the cap covers the deflector deflecting the air flow and an open position in which the cap opens the deflector deflecting the air flow, and at least one moving actuator configured to move the cap between the open and closed positions. The moving actuator includes a stationary portion designed to be attached to the stationary structure in a first securing position and a movable portion designed to be attached to the cap in a second securing position. An adjusting device adjusts the first securing position.

GRID-TYPE THRUST REVERSER FOR TURBOJET ENGINE

A grid-type thrust reverser for a turbojet engine includes a moving O-shaped thrust reverser body that is generally cylindrical in shape around a longitudinal central axis (A) and includes an inner wall configured to delimit a cold air stream, with an inner structure that surrounds the turbojet engine, the movable thrust reverser body being mounted so as to be able to slide along the longitudinal central axis (A) between a direct jet position in which the outer cowl covers the thrust reverser grids, and a thrust-reversal position in which the outer cowl uncovers the thrust reverser grids. The movable thrust reverser body includes a first half-portion and a second half-portion that are mounted so as to each pivot about a longitudinal pivot axis (B), between a closed position and an open gullwing position for removing the turbojet engine, via the cradle.

Turbine engine with a swirler

An apparatus and method for a turbine engine including an engine core having a compressor section, a combustor, and a turbine section, which are arranged to define a stator and rotor. The engine further includes a swirler to increase the rotational speed of the air leaving the stator and entering the interior of the rotor.
