An airfoil includes an airfoil section that has an airfoil wall that defines a leading end, a trailing end, and first and second sides that join the leading end and the trailing end. The first and second sides span in a longitudinal direction between first and second ends, and the airfoil wall circumscribes an internal core cavity. A cooling passage network is embedded in the airfoil wall aft of the rib and between inner and outer portions of the airfoil wall. The network includes a cooling passage leading edge and a cooling passage trailing edge. The aft core cavity has a central cavity section and a cavity lobe. The cavity lobe projects between the rib and the cooling passage leading edge.
COMPRESSOR ROTOR BLADE AIRFOILS
A rotor blade includes an airfoil having an airfoil shape. The airfoil shape having a nominal profile substantially in accordance with Cartesian coordinate values of X, Y and Z set forth in one of Table I, Table II, Table III, Table IV, Table V, Table VI, Table VII, Table VIII, or Table IX. The Cartesian coordinate values of X, Y and Z are non-dimensional values from 0% to 100% convertible to dimensional distances expressed in a unit of distance by multiplying the Cartesian coordinate values of X, Y and Z by a scaling factor of the airfoil in the unit of distance. The X and Y values, when connected by smooth continuing arcs, define airfoil profile sections at each Z value. The airfoil profile sections at Z values being joined smoothly with one another to form a complete airfoil shape.
TURBINE ROTOR BLADE

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TURBOMACHINE WITH LOCAL VORTEX GENERATOR ARRAY
A turbomachine includes a shroud and a hub spaced apart from the shroud to channel an airflow along a direction. The turbomachine includes a plurality of airfoils coupled between the shroud and the hub. At least one airfoil of the plurality of airfoils includes a leading edge spaced apart from a trailing edge in the direction of the airflow and a pressure side opposite a suction side. The turbomachine includes at least one local vortex generator array defined on the suction side so as to extend onto the hub or the shroud. The at least one local vortex generator array is defined downstream of the leading edge.
CROSS-FLOW FAN

The cross-flow fan includes a rotary shaft; a plurality of blades that extends in a direction parallel to the rotary shaft and having a positive pressure surface and a negative pressure surface; and a connector that connects the rotary shaft and the plurality of blades. At least one protrusion that protrudes in a thickness direction and extends in a longitudinal direction of the plurality of blades is formed on the plurality of blades, and by means of the at least one protrusion formed on a blade surface, a flow separation phenomenon caused by friction with the blade surface is suppressed, thereby reducing noise generated by the cross-flow fan.

Airfoil having environmental barrier topcoats that vary in composition by location
An airfoil includes an airfoil wall that defines a leading end, a trailing end, and suction and pressure sides that join the leading end and the trailing end. The airfoil wall is formed of a silicon-containing ceramic. A first environmental barrier topcoat is disposed on the suction side of the airfoil wall, and a second, different environmental barrier topcoat is disposed on the pressure side of the airfoil wall. The first topcoat is vaporization-resistant and the second topcoat is resistant to calcium-magnesium-aluminosilicate.
