An engine component assembly is provided with an insert having cooling features. The engine component comprises a cooled engine component surface having a flow path on one side thereof and a second component adjacent to the first component. The second component, for example an insert, may have a plurality of openings forming an array wherein the openings extend through the second component at a non-orthogonal angle to the surface of the second component. The second engine component has a plurality of discrete cooling features disposed on a surface facing the first component and near the plurality of cooling openings.

Inlet filter housing having components including portions of filter system that collectively form housing

An inlet filter housing includes a plurality of components that collectively form a complete filtering and conditioning system for filtering and conditioning a fluid along a housing flow path. Each component is fitted within an external structure of an International Organization of Standards (ISO) shipping container, which provides a rectangular cuboid enclosure. Each component includes operative structure of at least one of: a) only a portion of an axial extent of the filtering and conditioning system, and b) only a portion of a lateral cross-sectional area of the housing flow path.

A system may include a first duct including an air inlet end and an air outlet end, and a valve within the first duct and configured to open to allow or close to prevent fan duct air from the air inlet end to pass through to the air outlet end of the first duct. The system may also include a second duct including a first end and a second end. The first end of the second duct may be coupled to a sidewall of the first duct and configured to allow the fan duct air to flow from the first duct to the second duct. The system may also include a resonance chamber coupled to the second end of the second duct and configured to allow the air in the resonance chamber to act as a spring causing the air in the second duct to oscillate at a predefined frequency.

BLADE RING SEGMENT FOR TURBINE SECTION, TURBINE SECTION HAVING THE SAME, AND GAS TURBINE HAVING THE TURBINE SECTION

Disclosed are a blade ring segment for a turbine section, a turbine section having the blade ring segment, and a gas turbine having the turbine section. Multiple blade ring segments is installed in a turbine casing accommodating turbine blades rotated by combustion gas from a combustor. The blade ring segment includes an inner panel provided in the turbine casing and having multiple air holes through which cooling air fed from the outside of the turbine casing flows, an outer panel disposed on one side of the inner panel, and a cooling structure protruding from one side of the outer panel so as to form a flowing channel in a zigzag pattern so that cooling air fed through the air holes flows therethrough.

DAMPER RING FOR REDUCING UNWANTED VIBRATIONS OF A BLISK, AS WELL AS BLISK AND TURBOMACHINE

A damper ring (1) for reducing unwanted vibrations of a blisk (2), which damper ring (1) is disposable at the radially inner side of a blade ring (3) of the blisk (2). The damper ring (1) features at least one damper element (4) configured to dissipate vibrational energy of the blisk (2) and/or to transfer vibrational modes of the blisk into vibrational modes different from the vibrational modes of the blisk. The invention also relates to a blisk (2) and to a turbomachine (13).
