A rod end ball (20) is disposed in the race insert (26) and a rod end tensioner (30) is positioned to apply a force (F) against an end of the rod end ball (20). The rod end tensioner (30) includes a clip portion (32) with a spring arm (34) extending therefrom, wherein the clip portion (32) includes a pair of tangs (38) positioned to engage the connector portion (16). The spring arm (34) includes a contact tip (36) confronting the end of the rod end ball (20).
Linkage assembly preventing axial rotation of the link rod for a gas turbine engine
Disclosed is a linkage assembly for a gas turbine engine having a link having a first end, a second end, and a rod extending therebetween, the first end having a first sliding bearing disposed within a first sliding bearing housing, a fastener comprising a first flange and a second flange, a pin extending between the first flange and the second flange, wherein the first sliding bearing is pivotally connected to the pin; and a biasing member secured between the first flange and the sliding bearing housing, the biasing member contacting the sliding bearing housing and biasing the link against rotation about a center axis for the rod of the link.
IMPULSE ELEMENT MODULE FOR A TURBOMACHINE
An impulse element module for a turbomachine, in particular a turbine stage of a gas turbine, preferably an aircraft gas turbine, including a single-unit receptacle component having a base and side walls that extend peripherally thereon, the side walls and the base bounding a receiving space; a single-unit insert component having a form that is inserted into receiving space of receptacle component; together, the receptacle component and the insert component accommodated therein being designed to define a plurality of spaced apart cavities; and an impulse element, in particular a sphere, being accommodated in each cavity; and a single-unit sealing component that is joined in a material-to-material bond to the receptacle component in a way that allows the receiving space to be sealed and the insert component to be surrounded by the receptacle component and the sealing component.
Internally cooled airfoil
An internally cooled airfoil for a gas turbine engine has a hollow airfoil body defining a core cavity. An insert is mounted in the core cavity. A cooling gap is provided between the insert and the hollow airfoil body. A plurality of standoffs project across the cooling gap. Trip-strips projecting laterally between adjacent standoffs. The trip-strips and the standoffs may be integrated into a unitary heat transfer feature.
Turbomachine blade
A blade (1) for a turbomachine, including an impact chamber (2), a single impulse body (3) being situated in the impact chamber, a clearance (S1+S2) between the impulse body and the impact chamber being at least 10 μm and/or at most 1.5 mm in at least one direction.
