Connector and an anti thermal mismatch connecting device

In order to alleviate a mismatch problem of thermal deformation, in all directions, of a connecting and installing structure between a CMC turbine outer annular component and a metal intermediate casing, a connector and an anti thermal mismatch connecting device are provided. The rod part of the connector comprises a subtractive hollow section and a cylindrical section. The subtractive hollow section is composed of a central shaft, a plurality of supporting rib plates extending outwards from a peripheral surface of the central shaft and inclined radially relative to the central shaft, and a plurality of outer annular plates arranged around the central shaft, with a circumferential gap between adjacent outer annular plates. The supporting rib plate is connected with the central shaft and the outer annular plate, and the central shaft is connected with the cylindrical section. The anti thermal mismatch connecting device the connector.

TURBINE BLADE WITH BOOMERANG SHAPED WALL COOLING PASSAGES

A turbine component includes a body having a pair of spaced walls, with at least one of the walls for facing a fluid flow when mounted in a gas turbine engine. There are a plurality of wall cooling passages having a generally boomerang shape such that a peak apex is spaced from the wall and an indent apex is adjacent to the wall, with the plurality of wall cooling passages having interior sides extending from the peak apex toward the wall to define a corner. Outer sides extend from the corners with a component away from the wall and to the indent apex. A gas turbine engine is also disclosed.

Step seal for refrigerant compressors

In some aspects, the techniques described herein relate to a refrigerant compressor, including: a stator; a rotor configured to rotate with respect to the stator; and at least one step seal between the rotor and the stator, wherein the step seal includes a first tooth and a second tooth extending from the rotor toward the stator, wherein a downstream surface of the first tooth and an upstream surface of the second tooth are arranged at an angle relative to one another, wherein the angle is less than 90°.

SEAL FOR COMBUSTION APPARATUS

A seal for sealing a gap in a combustion apparatus of a gas turbine between a first side and an opposite second side. The seal includes a steel strap with a flat shape and a first metal web with a flat shape attached to the steel strap on the first side and a second metal web attached to the steel strap on the second side. Thereby the seal has a seal thickness with at least the steel strap plus the first metal web plus the thickness of the second metal web, wherein the seal thickness is at most 0.2-times of width of the seal. The new seal has an Omega shape of the second metal web, which is therefore attached on both sides with a flat shaped portion to the steel strap.

Nacelle for gas turbine engine

A nacelle for a gas turbine engine having a longitudinal centre line. The nacelle includes an air intake disposed at an upstream end of the nacelle. The air intake includes, in flow series, an intake lip, a throat and a diffuser. The nacelle further includes a protrusion extending radially inward from the air intake downstream of the intake lip. The protrusion extends circumferentially by a protrusion angle (θ.sub.p) with respect to the longitudinal centre line of the gas turbine engine.

HIGH EFFICIENCY AXIAL FAN

A condenser fan includes a lock hub and multiple blades that are fastened to the hub. Each of the blades includes six planes, each of which having variable parameters including pitch angle, sickle, chord length, and blade curve. For each embodiment of the evaporator fan, the blades are identically configured.

An apparatus is provided for a turbine engine. This turbine engine apparatus includes a journal bearing extending axially along and circumferentially about an axis. The journal bearing extends radially between an inner side and an outer side. The journal bearing includes a bore, a passage and a groove. The bore extends axially within the journal bearing and is formed by the inner side. The passage extends radially within the journal bearing and is fluidly coupled with the bore and the groove. The groove is arranged at the outer side. The groove extends longitudinally within the journal bearing between a first end and a second end. The groove extends axially within the journal bearing between a first side and a second side. An axial distance between the first side and the second side changes as the groove extends longitudinally between the first end and the second end.

Exhaust passage

An exhaust passage including a protrusion which is less likely to receive heat from a gas and hence has high heat-resistance reliability is provided. An exhaust passage includes an exhaust pipe, and a protrusion continuously formed over a range of a part of an inner surface of the exhaust pipe in a circumferential direction thereof, the protrusion being inclined toward a direction in which the exhaust pipe extends, and being configured in such a manner that a cross-sectional area of the exhaust pipe becomes smaller toward a downstream side thereof, in which the exhaust passage further includes a convex part on an inner surface of the protrusion.
