TANGENTIAL ON-BOARD INJECTOR (TOBI) ASSEMBLY

A tangential on-board injector (TOBI), comprising: a body defining an annular passageway to receive cooling air, the TOBI defining a plurality of discharge nozzles; a rotating component mounted for rotation relative to the body about an axis of rotation; a seal extending between the body and the rotating component; a plurality of vanes circumferentially distributed about the axis of rotation and located downstream of the plurality of discharge nozzles relative to a flow of the cooling air circulating toward the seal from the plurality of discharge nozzles and upstream of the seal; and flow passages defined between the plurality of vanes, a flow passage of the flow passages extending along a passage axis, the passage axis having a tangential component at an outlet of the flow passage that is different than a tangential component of an exit flow axis of a nozzle of the plurality of discharge nozzles.

Water pump

A water pump includes a mechanical seal provided between a housing and a rotary shaft for preventing cooling water from leaking from a whirl chamber. The housing forms a space into which cooling water leaked from between the mechanical seal and the rotary shaft is flown and a water vent for discharging cooling water flown into the space. The housing is joined with a thermostat cover to form a reservoir communicating with the water vent. The reservoir has a drain for releasing evaporated cooling water to the air and a control wall for preventing cooling water remaining as liquid from flowing out through the drain.

Electric water pump motor casing

A water pump has a pump section having radial impeller blades, a rotational shaft for rotating the radial impeller blades, and a motor section provided in the rear of the pump section and driving the rotational shaft. The motor section has a motor casing, a motor housed in the motor casing and rotating the rotational shaft, bearings provided on both sides of the motor interposed between them on the rotational shaft, interposed between an inner surface of the motor casing and the rotational shaft, and rotatably supporting the rotational shaft. In the motor casing, a vent hole for venting air between a motor space in which the motor is disposed in the motor casing and an outside of the motor casing is formed.

A water pump that minimizes defects in which cooling water flows externally is provided. The water pump is provided with a rotating shaft supported by a body via a bearing, an impeller that is disposed at one end of the rotating shaft, and a seal member that is disposed between the impeller and the bearing. A drain passage that sandwiches the seal member and communicates with a space formed on the opposite side of the impeller is formed in the body, and a reservoir is formed downstream from the drain passage. At an upper position of a wall portion that forms the reservoir, a drain hole is formed, and a water-absorbing planar member is positioned in the reservoir.

Water pump and method for producing water pump

A pump is provided which includes a pump housing, a drive shaft rotatably installed in the pump housing through a ball bearing, a pulley integrally connected to one end of the drive shaft through a flange wall, an impeller connected to the other end of the drive shaft, a cylindrical base part integrally connected to an outer periphery of the flange wall and six through openings formed in an outer peripheral part of the flange wall, in which each of the through openings has, at a generally middle part of a bottom surface of an inner surface thereof, a pathway groove that extends substantially along an inner cylindrical surface of the cylindrical base part, so that the performance of discharging water, dust and the like from the through openings formed in the flange wall is increased.

Journal for a turbine engine comprising a ring for recovering a flow of lubricating oil with a plurality of lubricating oil discharge ports

A journal configured to be driven in rotation in a housing of a turbine engine, or for an aircraft, the journal including: a circumferential main body including plural ventilation openings configured to allow plural axial airflows to circulate from upstream to downstream in the turbine engine, two consecutive ventilation openings being connected by a connecting segment, and a circumferential ring for recovering a flow of lubrication oil, which ring is rigidly connected to the main body and is radially inside the ventilation openings, the circumferential ring including plural radial discharge openings for allowing plural radial flows of oil to be discharged towards the outside, each discharge opening being radially aligned with a connecting segment of the main body to allow each flow of oil to be discharged radially between the airflows.
