The socket includes a guide groove, into which the protrusion of the securing rod is inserted, and a recessed groove. The guide groove includes a first guide groove, which extends in the socket axis direction from a starting end to a terminal end, and a second guide groove, the starting end of which is connected to the terminal end, and which extends from the starting end to a terminal end in a circumferential direction relative to the socket axis. The second guide groove is connected to the recessed groove.

Engine shaft assembly and method

An engine shaft assembly for an engine is provided. The engine shaft assembly includes a shaft and a thermal distribution layer. The thermal distribution layer is provided on the shaft, and is configured to minimize the effect of distortion of the shaft caused by asymmetric cooling on shutdown of the engine.

The heat insulating sheet member is a bendable member formed from an inorganic flexible material. The heat insulating sheet member includes a first region corresponding to an inlet of a bottom wall portion, a second region corresponding to at least a terminating end portion of the scroll portion, a third region provided between the first region and the second region and corresponding to a coupling wall portion, and a fourth region corresponding to an outer peripheral wall portion. The first region and the third region, the third region and the second region, and the first region and the fourth region are coupled to each other with the inorganic flexible material in a continuous state.

Panel burn through tolerant shell design

A dual wall liner for a gas turbine engine may comprise a shell having a first side and a second side, a panel contacting the shell, the panel at least partially defining a hot gas path through which a hot gas flows, wherein the first side of the shell faces the panel, wherein the shell includes a thermal barrier coating (TBC) disposed on the first side of the shell. The TBC may thermally protect the shell from heat from a hot gas path.

A multi-stage fluid conditioning system having a housing with a fluid inlet and outlet. A shaft extends within the housing and supports a first fan unit with a first magnet/electromagnet plate on an inlet side of said housing and a second fan unit with a second magnet/electromagnet supporting plate on an outlet side of the housing. Each of the first and second magnet/electromagnet supporting plates include at least one vane configured to direct fluid flow. The shaft rotates the plates in order to draw a fluid flow through the inlet and successively across the inlet and outlet sides for thermal conditioning resulting from creation of high frequency oscillating magnetic fields according to a succeeding conditioning operations before being outputted the conditioned fluid from the housing through the fluid outlet.

Turbocharger

A turbocharge includes: a compressor wheel; a turbine wheel configured to rotate with the compressor wheel; a turbine housing disposed so as to cover the turbine wheel; a bearing supporting a rotational shaft of the turbine wheel rotatably; and a bearing housing accommodating the bearing. One of the turbine housing or the bearing housing includes a fin portion protruding toward the other one of the turbine housing or the bearing housing so as to extend along an axial direction of the rotational shaft, and, between the turbine housing and the bearing housing, a cavity is formed on each side of the fin portion with respect to a radial direction of the rotational shaft.

Ceramic turbine volute

A gas turbine and nozzle system is provided that includes a radial inflow turbine rotor and a volute providing a flow path to deliver a pressurized gas to a circumference of the radial turbine rotor. The volute incorporates a shape which substantially conforms to a radial turbine shroud contour. The volute includes at least first and second parts. A mating surface between the first and second parts is substantially aligned with a direction of pressurized gas flow in the volute.

Heat shield

A heat shield (100) and method for assembling such is disclosed. The heat shield (100) may comprise an outer wall (122) and an inner wall (124). The outer wall (122) includes a first member (130), a flange (132) extending outward from the first member (130) and a first inner edge (134). The first member (130) extends from the flange (132) to the first inner edge (134). The inner wall (124) includes a second member (140), a rim (142) extending outward from the second member (140) and a second inner edge (144). The second member (140) extends from the rim (142) to the second inner edge (144). The inner wall (124) is spaced apart from the outer wall (122), the first and second edges form an air gap (146) between them, and the inner wall (124) and the outer wall (122) form a cavity (148).
