The present invention relates to a cherry tree, Prunus avium, and more particularly to a new and distinct variety broadly characterized by a medium size, vigorous, hardy, self-unfruitful, and productive tree. The fruit matures under the ecological conditions described in mid May, with first picking on May 17, 2017. The fruit is uniformly medium to large in size, sub-acidic and sweet in flavor, heart shaped, semi-freestone in type, firm in texture, red in flesh color, very dark red in skin color, and has a medium length stem that is strongly attached to the fruit.

This invention is a new and distinct sweet cherry tree denominated IFG Cher-three. The new sweet cherry tree is characterized by producing medium sized dark red fruits having reniform shape. Fruits ripen early about Apr. 23, 2014 in Delano Calif. The IFG Cher-three has very firm, medium acid fruit with a good cherry flavor. Fruits are tolerant of rain induced cracking and high temperature induced double fruit. The tree has a medium low chilling requirement of approximately 300 to 400 hours.

This invention is a new and distinct sweet cherry tree denominated IFG Cher-two. The new sweet cherry tree is characterized by producing large dark red fruits having broad shoulders and flat to round base. Fruits ripen early, about Apr. 14, 2014 in Delano Calif. The IFG Cher-two has medium firm, medium acid fruit with a good cherry flavor. The tree has a medium low chilling requirement of approximately 300 to 500 hours. Fruits are tolerant of high summer temperatures and produce few doubled or spurred fruits.

This invention is a new and distinct variety of sweet cherry tree denominated IFG Cher-six. The new sweet cherry tree IFG Cher-six is characterized by producing large size blushed fruits having a reniform shape. The IFG Cher-six has medium firm, medium acid fruit with a good eating quality ripening in mid-season. Fruits are moderately tolerant of rain induced cracking. The tree has a medium-low chilling requirement, produces few doubled and spurred fruits and ripens seven to ten days before the Rainier variety.

This invention is a new and distinct sweet cherry tree variety denominated IFG Cher-seven. The new sweet cherry tree is characterized by producing large size dark red fruits having reniform shape and ripening in mid-season. The eating quality remains good after 40 days of cold storage. The fruit stems of IFG Cher-seven remain green, have fresh appearance and have excellent attachment after 40 days of storage.

Variety Denomination PA7UNIBO is a novel cherry tree derived from a seedling of unknown cross which was planted at Vignola, Modena Province, Italy. The genus and species (cultivar) of PA7UNIBO is Prunus avium. It was initially propagated by grafting to root stocks of varying vigor and, after testing in districts and plantings of differing types, proved to have qualities for a promising new cultivar for the market.
