Bootstrap hydraulic reservoir
A bootstrap hydraulic reservoir includes a bootstrap chamber to hold hydraulic fluid, a piston chamber fluidly connected to a pressure line of the hydraulic fluid system, a piston having a bootstrap end portion held within the bootstrap chamber and a pressure end portion held within the piston chamber, and a hydraulic accumulator fluidly connected to the pressure line of the hydraulic fluid system. The hydraulic accumulator accumulates pressurized hydraulic fluid from the pressure line. The bootstrap hydraulic reservoir also includes a valve fluidly connected to the pressure line of the hydraulic fluid system between the hydraulic accumulator and an outlet of a pump of the hydraulic fluid system. The valve includes an actuator selectively moves the valve to an open position when the pressure line of the hydraulic fluid system is de-pressurized.
INVERTED CLOSED BELLOWS WITH LUBRICATED GUIDE RING SUPPORT
A pumping system deployed in a wellbore has a motor, a pump driven by the motor, and a volumetric compensator connected to the motor to accommodate the expansion and contraction of fluids contained within the motor. The volumetric compensator has a head connected to the motor, a base that includes a fluid exchange port that extends to the wellbore, and a housing extending between the head and the base. The volumetric compensator further includes an inverted bellows assembly contained within the housing. The inverted bellows assembly includes a metal bellows that has an interior, an exterior, a proximal end and a distal end. The interior of the metal bellows is in fluid communication with the wellbore. The inverted bellows assembly may also include one or more guide rings connected to the exterior of the metal bellows. The guide rings are lubricated by the clean motor fluid surrounding the exterior of the metal bellows.
Accumulator
An accumulator includes a bellows 3 having a plurality of outer ridge portions and a plurality of inner annular ridge portions and configured to be capable of expanding and contracting, and a housing having a fluid supply port and fixed to one end of the bellows serving as a fixed end. An interior of the housing is partitioned in a sealed state into an inside and an outside of the bellows. The outer annular ridge portions are divided into at least a first sector and a second sector which are distributed in an expansion and contraction direction of the bellows such that the second sector is positioned between the first sector and the fixed end. The outer annular ridge portions included in the first sector have an outer diameter smaller than an outer diameter of the outer annular ridge portions included in the second sector.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC ACTUATION OF DOWNHOLE TOOLS
A technique facilitates wellbore operations and utilization of wellbore equipment, e.g. equipment comprising actuation devices for downhole tools. According to an embodiment, the system comprises a pump solution for an electrically control device, e.g. an electrically controlled valve. The system may comprise hydraulic circuitry which utilizes bellows to effectively enclose the hydraulic circuitry. Consequently, the system enables an electrically control downhole system having components hydraulically actuated via a closed loop hydraulic system.
Accumulator
An accumulator according to an embodiment includes, for example, a base member; a cover member welded to the base member, the cover member and the base member defining a pressure chamber therebetween; a stretchable partition member that partitions the pressure chamber into an inner chamber and an outer chamber; and a labyrinth structure provided in at least one of a first part of the base member and a second part of the cover member. The first part is located closer to the outer chamber than a welded part between the base member and the cover member. The second part is located closer to the outer chamber than the welded part, facing the first part.
Bellows
A bellows excellent in durability has an accordion shape where crest parts with U-shaped cross sections and trough parts with U-shaped cross sections are repeatedly formed via slope parts, the slope parts leading to the crest part includes first portions, second portions, third portions and fourth portions which are continuously connected, in order, to one another from the crest part toward the adjacent trough parts, and in a free length state of the bellows, a separation distance between the second portions of the both slope parts is longer than separation distances between the first portions and between the third portions.

ACCUMULATOR
Provided is an accumulator for easier maintenance of a metal bellows. The accumulator includes a housing having a shell provided with an opening portion and a disk-shaped base body to which one end of a metal bellows with an outside diameter smaller than the inside diameter of the opening portion is welded and fixed, the interior of the housing partitioned on the inside and outside of the metal bellows in a tightly closed manner, in which the base body is formed to have an outside diameter greater than the outside diameter of the metal bellows, and the base body is fixed detachably to the shell.
Bellows accumulator, in particular pulsation damper
A bellows accumulator, in particular a pulsation damper, includes a bellows (3) arranged in an accumulator housing (1) and separating two media chambers (27, 28) from each other. Bellows folds (19) of the bellows can be moved at least partially along the inner wall (35) of the accumulator housing (1). The outside diameter of the bellows folds (19) is selected to be slightly smaller than the associated diameter of the inner wall (35) of the accumulator housing (1) in such a way that spaces (37, 41) are formed, which spaces together form a hydraulic damper for at least one medium.
