FLUID CIRCUIT OF AIR CYLINDER
A first fluid circuit is a fluid circuit of an air cylinder provided with an air cylinder with a first air chamber and a second air chamber that are defined by a piston; a switching valve that is switched between the drive step and return step of the piston; a first flow channel between the first air chamber and the switching valve; and a second flow channel between the second air chamber and the switching valve. Two speed control valves are provided in series in the second flow channel.
Discretized valve state control for multi-level hydraulic systems
An actuation pressure to actuate one or more hydraulic actuators may be determined based on a load on the one or more hydraulic actuators of a robotic device. Based on the determined actuation pressure, a pressure rail from among a set of pressure rails at respective pressures may be selected. One or more valves may connect the selected pressure rail to a metering valve. The hydraulic drive system may operate in a discrete mode in which the metering valve opens such that hydraulic fluid flows from the selected pressure rail through the metering valve to the one or more hydraulic actuators at approximately the supply pressure. Responsive to a control state of the robotic device, the hydraulic drive system may operate in a continuous mode in which the metering valve throttles the hydraulic fluid such that the supply pressure is reduced to the determined actuation pressure.
Servo governor by PWM
A servo actuator is provided which may comprise a controller configured to control a plurality of solenoid valves based upon an output signal. The plurality of solenoid valves may be used to control the position of the object. For example, a set of solenoid valves, of the plurality of solenoid valves, may be configured to conduct fluid from a tank into a first chamber of the cylinder, conduct fluid from the tank into a second chamber of the cylinder, conduct fluid from the second chamber of the cylinder into a first solenoid valve and/or conduct fluid from the first chamber of the cylinder into the first solenoid valve. The first solenoid valve, of the plurality of solenoid valves, may be configured to conduct fluid from the set of solenoid valves into a vent valve based upon a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal received from the controller.
System for controlling the operation of an actuator mounted on a seed planting implement
In one aspect, a system for controlling an operation of an actuator mounted on a seed planting implement may include an actuator configured to adjust a position of a row unit of the seed planting implement relative to a toolbar of the seed planting implement. The system may also include a flow restrictor fluidly coupled to a fluid chamber of the actuator, with the flow restrictor being configured to reduce a rate at which fluid is permitted to exit the fluid chamber in a manner that provides damping to the row unit. Furthermore, the system may include a valve fluidly coupled to the flow restrictor in a parallel relationship such that the valve is configured to permit the fluid exiting the fluid chamber to flow through the flow restrictor and the fluid entering the fluid chamber to bypass the flow restrictor.
Valve system for pneumatic cylinders
A valve system for use with a cylinder having an extensible rod, includes first and second valve assemblies, each including an inlet/outlet port configured to selectively be coupled with a source of pressurized gas, a check valve biased toward a closed state and having a check valve body at least partially receivable within a first port of the cylinder, a flow control valve positioned in series between the inlet/outlet port and the check valve, and an inlet pilot port connected with the check valve for opening the check valve when supplied with pressurized gas. First and second pilot lines extend to the respective inlet pilot ports from respective outlet pilot ports of the opposite ones of the first and second valve assemblies. When pressurized gas is supplied to the inlet/outlet port of a valve assembly, pressurized gas is also supplied to the opposite inlet pilot port.
Hydraulic circuit for feeding an actuator, in particular for use in moving a door of an aircraft bay
The invention provides a hydraulic circuit for feeding an actuator (1) comprising first and second chambers (5, 6), the circuit comprising a slide valve (10) with a slide (16) that is movable between first and second extreme positions (18, 19) on either side of a stable central position (17) so that: in the central position, it connects the chambers (5, 6) of the actuator to a return port; in the first extreme position (18), it connects the first chamber (5) to a feed port and the second chamber to the return port; and in the second extreme position (19), it connects at least the second chamber (6) to the feed port. According to the invention, the hydraulic circuit includes pressure-maintaining means (20) for maintaining pressure in the first chamber of the actuator while the slide is passing through the central position on being moved from the first extreme position to the second extreme position.
Thread compensator
A thread compensator for performing casing running operations. An example method may include visually ascertaining operational parameters of a thread compensator displayed on a video output device. The thread compensator may be connected between a top drive and a travelling block, and a casing running tool may be connected to the top drive. The operational parameters may include the height that the top drive is lifted by the thread compensator and force applied to casing by the top drive. The method may further comprise manually controlling well construction equipment to perform casing running operations based on the ascertained operational parameters.
Hydraulic apparatus and hydraulic appliance usable therein
A hydraulic apparatus includes a first valve manifold that provides a shutdown capability and a second valve manifold that provides an overspeed control capability. The hydraulic apparatus advantageously further employs a hydraulic appliance that includes a check valve and a bypass apparatus. The hydraulic appliance enables the second valve manifold to additionally provide as an alternative function a redundant shutdown capability, thereby obviating the need to have three separate valve manifolds.
Fluid pressure cylinder
A cylinder main body of a fluid pressure cylinder includes a switch valve, a check valve, and a flow path communicating a high pressure air supply source with a head side cylinder chamber and communicating an exhaust port with a rod side cylinder chamber when the switch valve is at a second position. Another flow path communicates the head side cylinder chamber with the rod side cylinder chamber and the exhaust port when the switch valve is at the first position.
