A hydraulic system for a working machine is a load sensing system and includes a hydraulic actuator for movement of an implement and a control valve having an inlet valve and an outlet valve for controlling the flow of hydraulic fluid from a pump to the hydraulic actuator and for draining hydraulic fluid from the hydraulic actuator, respectively. The hydraulic system also includes an arrangement for determining the load on the hydraulic actuator. The hydraulic system further includes a valve for disconnecting the flow of hydraulic fluid from the pump to the hydraulic actuator, while allowing another flow of hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic actuator, provided that the determined load on the hydraulic actuator exceeds a threshold value.

Pressure compensation unit

A pressure compensation unit includes: a control valve controlling hydraulic fluid supply and discharge to and from an actuator, the control valve including a pump port, a pair of relay and supply/discharge ports, and a tank port; a pressure compensation valve connected to the relay ports by an upstream and downstream-side relay lines, the pressure compensation valve moving in accordance with a pressure difference between upstream-side relay line and signal pressure; a load pressure detection line branching from the downstream-side relay line; a relief line connected to the downstream-side relay line and having a relief valve; and a switching valve leading: a maximum load pressure to the pressure compensation valve as the signal pressure when the hydraulic fluid does not flow through the relief line; and a pump pressure to the pressure compensation valve as the signal pressure when the hydraulic fluid flows through the relief line.

Load sensing valve device

A compensator spool of a load sensing valve device includes a pressure chamber, a compensator throttle portion, a pressure introduction chamber, a pressure introduction port, a maximum load pressure introduction chamber, and a selector valve. A groove is formed around the pressure introduction port, and a groove moves relatively between a passage communicating with an actuator to reduce an opening area of the pressure introduction port when the compensator spool moves.

A hydraulic system and method of controlling such on a machine is disclosed. The hydraulic system may comprise a primary hydraulic circuit that includes a first load sense controlled pump, a secondary hydraulic circuit that includes a second load sense controlled pump, a flow sharing valve, and a load sense arrangement. The load sense arrangement may include a main resolver configured to select a higher pressure signal between the primary and secondary hydraulic circuits, and a load sense valve having an open position at which pressure signal flow between the primary hydraulic circuit and the main resolver is allowed, and a closed position at which pressure signal flow between the primary hydraulic circuit and the main resolver is blocked. In an embodiment, when the load sense valve is in the closed position, the second load sense controlled pump may be controlled only by the secondary hydraulic circuit.

A control system for a mobile agricultural machine having a hydraulic supply system which includes electronic load sensing and headland control assistance is configured to predictively adjust the pump supply when a headland sequence is initiated. The pump supply may be increased irrespective of the reported hydraulic load at the time the headland sequence is initiated to meet a predicted hydraulic demand of the headland sequence. The control system may revert to a load-sensing-based control of the pump supply after a given time period or in dependence on a predefined operational parameter being met. A corresponding method of controlling a hydraulic system on an agricultural mobile machine is also disclosed.

Pressure compensated load sense hydraulic system efficiency improvement system and method

A pressure compensated load sense hydraulic system and method is disclosed where a first pressure compensated valve controls flow between a pump and a first function based on a highest function load; and a second pressure compensated valve controls flow between the pump and a second function based on the highest function load. First and second operator controls activate the first and second functions, respectively. When the first function is stalled and the second function is activated, the controller closes the first valve to remove the first function load from the load sense circuit and prevent flow to or from the first function. The controller can determine the first function is stalled when a timer exceeds an initialization period. When the controller closes the first valve, it can cycle the first valve between a shutoff period where the valve is closed, and a refresh period where the valve is opened.
