Systems and methods for joining together two or more in-line components such as rail (e.g. staircase rail) components or like structures are disclosed herein. The system includes two or more components, each having at least one spring-bolt attached thereto and received in a respective cavity of the components. The components are coupled to one another by interlocking of the spring bolts caused by relative rotation of the spring-bolts, and the components include inner and outer perimeters sized to form a substantially flush connection with no external signs of the coupling mechanism when the components are so coupled.

REDUCED FOOTPRINT VACUUM MOUNTED HITCH RACK CARRIER SYSTEMS FOR VEHICLES
20220048439 · 2022-02-17 ·

A vacuum-based hitch rack carrier system for a vehicle having a rear hitch and rear hitch receiver. The system includes a plurality of vacuum devices having a pad shaped and sized to removably seat with a vehicle to form a vacuum cavity, a plunger attached to the pad and in fluid communication with the vacuum cavity, and an indicator associated with the vacuum device to indicate the level of vacuum pressure within the vacuum. The system has a receiver hitch adapter for joining a rack configured to secure an article to the vehicle via attachment to the rear hitch receiver, a mount shaped and sized to mate and secure the article to the rack, and one or more support bars attached to said mount. At least one of the support bars contains a break and fold assembly configured to allow the carrier system to be folded.

CONNECTOR AND SYSTEM FOR INTERCONNECTING TUBULAR PROFILES
20220307533 · 2022-09-29 ·

A connector (1) and a system for interconnecting tubular profiles. The connector comprises first and second connector ends (2, 3), an intermediate part (4) arranged between the connector ends (2, 3). A first engaging element (5) is movably arranged relative a second engaging element (6), between a non-expanded state and an expanded state of the connector (1). An expansion bracket (7) comprises a distal part (8) arranged at a first distance (a) from the intermediate part (4) and at least one proximal part (9) arranged at the intermediate part (4). A tensioner (10) is arranged at the intermediate part (4) and substantially extending in a transverse second axis direction (Y) relative a first longitudinal axis direction (X) of the connector (1). The tensioner (10) is engaged with the proximal part (9) and is arranged to move the proximal part (9) in the second axis direction (Y) so that the expansion bracket (7) pivots, whereby the distal part (8) gets an increased extension along the second axis direction (Y) thereby pressing the first and second engaging elements (5, 6) away from each other.

Clamping device
11236850 · 2022-02-01 · ·

A clamping device suitable for securing a pair of flanges together is a unitary strip of a polymeric material that defines a multiplicity of clamping segments linked by flexible strip portions. The ends of the unitary strip define latching elements shaped to interconnect when the ends are brought together. Along one face of the unitary strip the clamping segments define teeth that project at opposite sides of the unitary strip, and these teeth define faces that are adapted in use to contact outer faces of the pair of flanges. Each clamping segments may define two opposing teeth. The clamping device can be operated with a single hand, being bent around the outside of the pair of flanges so that the clamping segments engage opposite faces of the pair of flanges and hold them together, and the latching elements are interconnected.

STRUCTURAL TENSIONING SYSTEM
20170275842 · 2017-09-28 ·

A structural tensioning system for selective coupling to a pier pipe having an elongate threaded rod and a tensioning device. The tensioning device having an elongate body that is configured receive a treaded end of the threaded rod and defines a slot in a distal end portion, a pair of opposed co-axial elongate openings, and a pair of opposed passages that communicate between respective portions of the slot and respective portions of the pair of opposed co-axial elongate openings. A portion of each elongate opening is configured to receive a bolt that is mounted in the pier pipe when the tensioning device is positioned in a tensioning position and portions of the slot, the pair of opposed co-axial elongate openings and the pair of opposed passages are configured to selectively receive the bolt that is mounted in the pier pipe as the tensioning device is moved to the tensioning position.

A mechanism for connecting two beams comprises a left beam and a right beam. The left beam is formed by an upper cross bar, a lower cross bar, and a vertical plate, the vertical plate has a width greater than a width of the upper cross bar and a width of the lower cross bar, the vertical plate has two edges protruding laterally away from the upper cross bar and the lower cross bar; the right beam has a vertical socket for receiving the vertical plate, the vertical socket is connected to the upper cross bar and to the lower cross bar, the vertical socket has two opposing curled lateral edges protruding laterally away from the upper cross bar and the lower cross bar, the two protruding edges of the vertical plate are inserted between the two opposite curled edges of the vertical socket.

REBAR MOVEMENT-PREVENTION-TYPE ONE-TOUCH COUPLER
20220235550 · 2022-07-28 · ·

A rebar movement-prevention-type one-touch coupler is configured to allow rebars to be fixed without a movement of the rebars after performing a one-touch insertion. A fixation of the rebars is completed by performing an additional tightening operation to housing units into which the rebars are inserted. The coupler increases both the fixation stability of the rebar and the safety of a structure employing the rebar.

Outdoor Appliance and Support Frame Thereof
20210388939 · 2021-12-16 ·

An outdoor appliance has a support frame with multiple inner lining tubes that are sequentially connected end to end by flexible ropes and multiple outer sleeve tubes that are slidable on the outer surfaces of the inner lining tubes. The outer sleeve tube and the inner lining tube at the head end of the support frame are respectively connected to an elastic member. When the support frame is in a locked state, each inner lining tube is located between and supports two abutting adjacent outer sleeve tubes. When the support frame is in an unlocked state, each inner lining tube is moved out of one outer sleeve tube and into the next successively axially adjacent outer sleeve tube against the force of the elastic member such that the radial support between adjacent outer sleeve tubes is eliminated thereby allowing the support frame to be folded.
