BRACKET APPARATUS
The disclosure relates to the technical field of automobile maintenance and repair as well as device calibration, and in particular, to a bracket apparatus. The bracket apparatus includes a base, a vertical rod and a clamping assembly. One end of the vertical rod is mounted to the base. The clamping assembly is mounted to the vertical rod. The clamping assembly includes a sliding member, a push rod assembly, a handle and an elastic member. One end of the sliding member is sleeved on the vertical rod. The sliding member is movable along the vertical rod. An other end of the sliding member is configured to carry a calibration element. The push rod assembly can be movably mounted to the sliding member in a preset direction. Two ends of the elastic member respectively abut against an inner wall of the sliding member and the push rod assembly. The elastic member can drive one end of the push rod assembly to be tightly pressed against the vertical rod. The sliding member is fixed to the vertical rod to prevent the sliding member from free falling and smashing. In addition, the handle is rotatably mounted to the sliding member to drive one end of the push rod assembly to be removed from contact with the vertical rod, so that the sliding member is slidable freely along the vertical rod. Therefore, the height of the calibration apparatus hung on the sliding member can be adjusted as needed, to meet different height requirements and calibration requirements.
Apparatus and methods for connecting tubes in transport structures
Apparatus and methods for joining tubes in transport structures are presented herein. A part having an attached node with a socket can be joined with tubes. The tubes can be placed along nonparallel axes within the socket; and a wedge can be used to secure the tubes to the socket. The wedge can be secured between the tubes by using a fastener, such as a blind fastener; alternatively, or additionally, the wedge can be secured between the tubes using an adhesive.
FITTING FOR BRACE MEMBER
A fitting for engaging a brace member can include a fitting body defining a body opening extending laterally therethrough, the fitting body further defining a top contact surface and a bottom contact surface; a first jaw connected to the fitting body at a proximal first jaw end, the first jaw oriented perpendicular to the body opening; a second jaw connected to the fitting body at a proximal second jaw end, a the second jaw perpendicular to the body opening and disposed between the top contact surface and the bottom contact surface, wherein the top contact surface extends between the proximal first jaw end and the proximal second jaw end; and a slot defined between the first jaw and the second jaw.
ADJUSTABLE FITTING ASSEMBLY
A fitting assembly can include a socket fitting comprising an end wall and a substantially cylindrical sidewall extending from the end wall, the end wall and cylindrical sidewall defining a cylindrical interior recess, the cylindrical sidewall defining an open end opposite the end wall allowing access to the cylindrical interior recess, the cylindrical interior recess configured to receive a first end portion of a brace member, a bore formed through the end wall and a hole formed through the cylindrical sidewall; a first fastener engaged with the hole and extending into the cylindrical interior recess, the first fastener configured to couple the brace member to the socket fitting; and a second fastener defining a tail end engaged with the bore, the second fastener repositionable relative to the socket fitting to adjust a length of the fitting assembly, wherein the second fastener is oriented perpendicular to the first fastener.
PIVOT FOR A MOUNTING DEVICE
A pivot for a mounting device is disclosed. The pivot includes a first bracket having a first member configured to mount a structural member and a plurality of elongated members. Further, the pivot includes one or more second brackets. The one or more second brackets having a first member and a second member. The first member having an orifice and is configured to be fitted around the plurality of elongated members of the first bracket. The second member is coupled to the first member, and having a through-hole. The pivot further includes a covering member configured to be fitted on the plurality of elongated members. The covering member includes a first part having a groove and a second part that is configured to be fitted inside the plurality of elongated members. Thereafter, the second part is fastened along the plurality of elongated members, and thereby making the pivot.
Metal lashing plates
A joint made from a lightweight, thin metal connector plate with one or more through holes or cutouts, containing multiple sharp edges. The sharp edges, within the through hole or cutout, upset and engage the outer layers of a stick or sticks, or similarly essentially cylindrical and irregular members, when inserted into the connector plate and a force subsequently applied, by rotating or moving the stick or sticks off axis from the plate, to fasten the stick or sticks in place. The connector plate, being lightweight and compact is well suited to survival preparedness and outdoor activities.
PVC fittings with a flat surface
These are standard PVC fittings with a flat surface to support shelving. These items can also have an outer edge, the thickness of the pipe itself, to keep shelves in their place. The walls and flat surface of these fittings are the same as normal PVC connectors with the same interior and exterior dimensions.
Adjustable fitting assembly
Example aspects of fitting assembly and a method for adjusting a length thereof are disclosed. The fitting assembly can comprise a jaw fitting comprising a body, a first jaw extending from the body, and a second jaw extending from the body, the first jaw oriented substantially parallel to the second jaw, the jaw fitting defining a bore formed through the body and a hole formed through the first jaw, the jaw fitting further defining a slot between the first jaw and second jaw; a first fastener engaged with the hole and extending into the slot, the first fastener configured to couple a brace member to the jaw fitting; and a second fastener defining a tail end engaged with the bore, the second fastener repositionable relative to the jaw fitting to adjust a length of the fitting assembly, wherein the second fastener is oriented perpendicular to the first fastener.
Method for producing an assembly
A method for producing an assembly including at least three components includes producing an intermediate assembly from a first component, a second component, and a third component, where the three components are arranged in a predefined position relative to each other. A first adhesive connection is produced between the second component and the third component. A second adhesive connection is produced between the first component and the second component.
Bar Gripping Assembly
A bar gripping assembly is configured to join a bar to a marine accessory on a marine craft. The bar gripping assembly has a single piece housing having an upper housing portion and a lower housing portion. A marine accessory is formed as part of the upper housing portion. A first wall slot and a second wall slot are arranged through the lower housing portion. A hollow portion adjacent to a weakened wall on the lower housing portion that has a lower portion opening and an upper portion. A strap is arranged through the first wall slot, the second wall slot, and around the lower portion opening. The strap compresses the lower housing portion against the bar to join the marine accessory to the marine craft.
