A fastener and a specialized driver for use in furniture or shelving assembly where the fastener comprises a fastener head with an aperture centered therein and a fastener body extending from connection with the fastener head, the fastener body having an interior cavity along a length of the fastener body. A spring biased plunger is slidable within an interior cavity of the fastener body between a first position where the plunger has a surface configured to fit within the aperture and in a second position the plunger is spaced apart from the aperture. The driver is removably couplable to the fastener to depress the plunger and transfer torque to the fastener for installation. After installation, the plunger resumes a position plugging the aperture and the tolerance between the plunger and the aperture is sufficiently tight to effectively obscure any seam between the plunger and the aperture such that the fastener head surface appears continuous.

In order to provide a connecting device for connecting two components, which is simple to manufacture and enables a stable and reliable connection of the two components, it is proposed that the connecting device comprises a main body which comprises a receiving channel extending through the main body for accommodating a fixing element, wherein the receiving channel is preferably accessible at one end by way of an insertion opening of the main body and/or preferably at a (further) end by way of a fixing opening of the main body, wherein the main body preferably further comprises an actuating opening that is different from the insertion opening and/or the fixing opening, by way of which in particular the fixing element arranged in the receiving channel is preferably accessible for the actuation thereof.

A fixing mechanism for fixing a first panel to a second panel, having a first plate with a first longitudinal guide, the first guide comprising a first aperture at a first end of the first guide connected to a second aperture at a second end of the first guide via a longitudinal slot, the first aperture is greater than the second aperture; a second plate having a second guide complementary to the first guide, a retaining portion, an interlocking member configured to fasten the second plate to the first plate via the first and second guides and also to fasten the first and second plates to the first panel. The first plate and the second plate are fastened to the second panel via a second fastening means. The fixing mechanism advantageously provides a means for securely fixing two panels together, such as furniture panels, using minimal components.

A fixing mechanism for fixing a first panel to a second panel, having a first plate with a first longitudinal guide, the first guide comprising a first aperture at a first end of the first guide connected to a second aperture at a second end of the first guide via a longitudinal slot, the first aperture is greater than the second aperture; a second plate having a second guide complementary to the first guide, a retaining portion, an interlocking member configured to fasten the second plate to the first plate via the first and second guides and also to fasten the first and second plates to the first panel. The first plate and the second plate are fastened to the second panel via a second fastening means. Disclosed is a furniture item comprising a top member with a top surface component, and a pair of vertical support legs, which are configured to easily assemble and disassemble for storage of the furniture item. In embodiments, each of the vertical support legs comprises a pair of leg segments which are angled towards one another to form an A-shape. Additionally, each of the vertical support legs is configured to be received within at least one leg receiving slot provided at a bottom side of said top surface component.

Disclosed is a furniture item comprising a top member with a top surface component, and a pair of vertical support legs, which are configured to easily assemble and disassemble for storage of the furniture item. In embodiments, each of the vertical support legs comprises a pair of leg segments which are angled towards one another to form an A-shape. Additionally, each of the vertical support legs is configured to be received within at least one leg receiving slot provided at a bottom side of said top surface component.

An one-piece corner connector for connecting two frame bars at right angles to one another includes a right-angle bracket having two angle legs, an intermediate plate, and two U-profile connecting pieces at right angles, having a middle leg and two side legs for insertion into the plug-in openings in the frame bars which are open at one end. The middle legs of the U-profile connecting pieces are formed on and run with their outer side parallel to the intermediate plate. The one outer side legs of the U-profile connecting pieces are each formed on one of the angle legs and run with their outer side parallel to the outer side of the angle leg. The other inner side legs of the U-profile connecting pieces are connected to one another by means of a wall element which is angled from the intermediate plate.

A unique and novel ready to assembly chair base is broken down into several component parts so that it can be packed in a smaller volume of space, and then easily assembled by the consumer. The chair base is formed in a manner that the base comes apart into at least two components. A first removable leg component and a second hub component consists of a central support with a tapered hole therein, a plurality of fixed legs and a truncated leg receiver configured and arranged receive and retain the removable leg component when the chair is assembled.

The enclosure can include a gasket having a gasket hole therethrough, and a threaded fastener to threadingly engage the hole. The threaded fastener can be configured to rotate in a first direction while threadingly engaged with the hole, and the threaded fastener can contact the first enclosure flange to increase a distance between the first enclosure flange and the first center post flange in order to receive the gasket.
