EXPANSIBLE FIXING PLUG
An expansible fixing plug, having a sleeve-like portion, an expander body, and an expansion part which has expansion elements which, in a non-expanded state, are integrally joined to the sleeve-like portion and to the expander body. In addition, the expansion part has connecting elements which integrally join the sleeve-like portion and the expander body in the non-expanded state and also in the expanded state. The connecting elements are interlockingly connected to the expander body.
Drywall Sleeve Anchor
A drywall sleeve anchor, comprising: a bolt; a sleeve, comprising: a first opening at a first end thereof; a second opening at a second end thereof; at least one slit placed between the first end and the second end; and a nut; wherein the bolt is configured to pass through the first end and the second end and to be screwed into the nut; and wherein upon screwing the bolt into the nut, the nut is configured to progress toward the second end and push the second end toward the first end, thereby bending the sleeve.
Multifunction drill bit with a replaceable tip
A multifunction drill bit includes an outer shank including an outer lock head, an outer shank body, and an axial hole wherein spiral grooves are on the outer shank body; from a joining portion of the outer shank body and the outer lock head to the outer lock head, a threaded section, a deformable section, and a guide section are provided; each of the threaded and deformable sections include first external threads; the deformable section has outer curved grooves; a deformable concave surface is on an inner surface of the deformable section; and first internal threads are on the guide section; and an inner shank in the axial hole and including a top socket, an inner lock head, and an inner shank body. Second external threads are on an inner surface of the guide section corresponding to the first internal threads. A tip of the drill bit is replaceable.
Rivet Element for Setting a Thread
A rivet element for setting a thread into at least one component has a head portion which can be interlockingly brought into abutment with the component and a sleeve portion which can be inserted into an opening extending through the component and can be plastically deformed. The sleeve portion is provided with an internal thread into which a traction mandrel and/or a screw element can be screwed. The sleeve portion has a protruding rib structure on the outer circumference, the rib structure having at least one first support rib and at least one second support rib which extend in the longitudinal direction of the sleeve portion and are separated from one another by a recess. After the plastic deformation of the sleeve portion, the support ribs contact one another in order to allow a direct force flow between the head portion and the sleeve portion.
ANCHOR FOR HOLLOW WALLS
An anchor (910) for mounting to a hollow wall (W) made of friable material comprises a proximal flanged end (918) adapted to be engaged by a rotatable tool (B) to rotate the anchor (910) about a longitudinal axis (A) thereof and to cause is to gradually engage the wall (W). The anchor (910) also includes a distal end (912) adapted to cut through the wall (W) as the anchor (910) is rotated, and a shank (920) extending between the proximal and distal ends (918, 912). The shank (920) includes at least one expandable leg (924) that is in a collapsed position thereof when the anchor (910) is rotated to mount it to the wall (W) and that is located distally beyond a non visible surface of the wall (W) once the anchor (910) has been mounted to the wall and is in a first position thereof. The wall anchor (910) includes an outer thread (922) that securely engages the wall (W). A threaded fastener (B), e.g. a screw, is adapted to be introduced in the anchor (910) and to threadably engage the same distally of the leg (924) such that sufficient rotation of the threaded fastener (B) retracts the distal end (912) towards the proximal end (918) thereby causing the leg (924) to displace to a laterally expanded position thereof and to engage the non visible surface of the wall (W).
Two-piece blind fastener
A blind fastener for connecting panels includes a bolt and nut. The bolt includes a shaft, bolt head, and lug. The bolt head is between the shaft and lug. The shaft defines external threads opposite the bolt head. The lug includes a first tool engagement portion and first frangible portion that connects the lug and bolt head. The nut includes a sleeve, nut head, and handling member. A central bore of the sleeve receives the shaft and defines internal threads mated with the external threads. The nut head is between the handling member and sleeve. The nut head extends radially from the sleeve and defines a recess that receives the bolt head. The handling member surrounds a portion of the lug. The handling member includes a second frangible portion and a second tool engagement portion. The second frangible portion couples the second tool engagement portion to the nut head.
Rivet fastener assemblies
A rivet fastener assembly is configured to securely clamp onto one or more components. The rivet fastener assembly includes a grommet including a collar and a column extending from the collar. A passage is defined through the collar and the column. The column includes component-engaging legs that are configured to fold and directly contact the component(s) when folded, and reinforcing legs that are configured to fold and reinforce the component-engaging legs when folded as the component-engaging legs directly contact the components).
DEFORMED BLIND RIVET LOOP CLAMP
A pipe or tube hanger consisting of a loop clamp combined with a blind rivet fastener which has the joint deformed to stiffen the blind rivet so it may be used as a tension member in the application. This will replace cast iron parts which have been typically used for this application. See
SUPPORT ASSEMBLY AND MOUNTING SYSTEM
A support assembly that includes a structural member that is delimited by a first end and a second end with a first end cap configured to be at least partially disposed within the first end of the structural member and a second end cap configured to be at least partially disposed within the second end of the structural member to mount the structural member to a structure. The support assembly allows for forces to be applied in all directions without causing rotation or disengagement of the support assembly from a mounting structure.
