FLEXIBLE SUPPORT AND CLOSUREAPPARATUS
20180073677 · 2018-03-15 ·

The present invention overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art by providing a flexible adjustable support and closure apparatus which includes a flexible strap and a locking head. The flexible strap has a series of spaced apertures formed therein. A first group of apertures extends from one end and over at least half of the strap, the first group serving to allow for adjustably forming an overlapped portion of the strap. A second group of apertures extends from an opposing end of the strap. A locking member has a central post terminating at opposing ends with radially extending, axially aligned discs sized for locking engagement with the apertures. A third axially aligned disc positioned intermediately along the axis of the post and also radially extending therefrom separates the opposing end discs so that apertures on either end of the strap may be selectively and discretely engaged and disengaged from said discs. The locking member includes a central bore adapted to receive a screw or equivalent fastening member. The arrangement is used as a support by overlapping the strap and locking in place a pair of the first apertures to form a loop which functions as a primary anchor for the support, with the locking member serving to secure the loop to a support surface, the end opposite of the loop secured to the support surface at a position most conducive to stably supporting an object. The apparatus is also used as a closure, and includes a locking member that can be reconfigured to fit various uses.

Assembly with a clip connection

A clip connection for coupling at least two components together, e.g., for fastening a first component to a second component in a joining direction, may include a plug-in pin arranged on the first component and having a longitudinal center axis extending parallel to the joining direction. The pin may include a conical longitudinal section that tapers in the joining direction. A radially resilient engagement hook may be provided engageable with an engagement contour. A sleeve may be arranged on the second component and have a longitudinal center axis extending parallel to the joining direction. The sleeve may include a plurality of radially resilient spring elements having a free end that supports the plurality of spring elements on the conical longitudinal section of the pin under radial preload when the sleeve and the pin are plugged together. The pin may be pluggable into the sleeve in the joining direction.

A holder includes a support, a back plate and a holding member. The back plate includes a main portion connected to the support, and a positioning portion movably connected to the main portion to either at a blocking position or an unblocking position. The holding member is disposed between the positioning portion and the support. Two ends of the holding member opposite to each other are connected to the main portion. The holding member and the main portion jointly define an accommodation space. When the positioning portion is at the blocking position, the positioning portion partially protrudes from the main portion and blocks a side of the accommodation space. When the positioning portion is at the unblocking position, the positioning portion does not protrude from the main portion, and the positioning portion unblocks the side of the accommodation space.

Push-pull latch assembly for a detachable media pick mechanism

A push-pull latch assembly for a detachable media pick mechanism. The latch assembly comprises a handle that is slidably and axially insertable into a handle base which is mounted to the pick mechanism housing. The handle base includes a pair of cantilevered, opposed latched arms having opposed catches for engagement with a groove positioned inboard a free end of a cantilevered drive shaft for the pick mechanism. The handle includes triangular rails having inner and outer ramps used to separate the opposed latch arms. The outer ramp separates the latch arms when the handle is inserted into the handle base. The inner ramp separates the latch arms during removal of the pick mechanism from the drive shaft. An axial pushing force engages the latch assembly to the groove and an axial pulling force disengages the latch assembly from the groove allowing for pick assembly removal.

Push-pull latch assembly for a detachable media pick mechanism

A push-pull latch assembly for mounting to a cantilevered post. The latch assembly comprises a handle that is slidably and axially insertable into a handle base which is mountable to a member such as a pick mechanism housing. The handle base includes a pair of cantilevered, opposed latched arms having opposed catches for engagement with a groove positioned adjacent to a free end of a cantilevered post. The handle includes triangular rails having inner and outer ramps used to separate the opposed latch arms. The outer ramp separates the latch arms when the handle is inserted into the handle base. The inner ramp separates the latch arms during removal of the latch assembly from the cantilevered post. An axial pushing force engages the latch assembly to the groove and an axial pulling force disengages the latch assembly from the groove allowing for latch assembly removal.

Self-locking modular pressure controller/calibrator

A pressure controller/calibrator has multiple modules. Each module has a stage, an elongated rail fixed to chassis of the controller or the module, and resilient guides fixed to the other of the stage or the chassis. In one embodiment, the rail has a proximate end at an edge of the chassis and a distal end inside the chassis. The distal end of the rail wider is than its proximate end. Between the two ends, the rail has concave contours that cooperate with convex springs in the stage to hold the stage at a desired location in the chassis.

Vehicle trim component attachment

A trim assembly of a vehicle includes a first trim piece, a second trim piece, and a clip extending from the first trim piece. The clip has a base portion located at the first trim piece and a tip portion. A clip opening is located at the second trim piece. The clip opening has a complimentary shape into which the clip is installed. The clip opening includes a plurality of opening tabs, each opening tab of the plurality of opening tabs is engaged with a retention feature of the clip to retain the clip in the clip opening.
