A brush holder for electrical machines has a clamping piece with a first mounting part and a second clamping part, which when assembled define a clamping hole to be assembled around a spindle; and two brush holder arms pivotally mounted on the first mounting part of said clamping piece, and adapted to receive and retain a brush. The arms have an upper side which is opposite to a lower side facing a slip ring; at least one biasing spring to act upon said brush holder arms in such a way that said brush holder arms move pivotally towards and presses said brushes against the slip ring. A conductive wire connects the brush to the clamping piece. A brush holder arm locking mechanism is adapted to be inserted into a slot in the second clamping part. A brush locking pin retains the brush in said brush holder arm and provided in corresponding bores arranged in the brush holder arm and the brush. The brush locking pin has a pipe portion and a spring portion arranged inside the pipe and that protrudes from a slot in a wall of said pipe. The mounting part of said clamping piece is provided with a brush arm stop to limit a pivot movement of the brush holder arm towards a slip ring.

A pin comprises a metal body extending along a longitudinal insertion axis (Ox) and has a first and a second end along the longitudinal axis (Ox), an upper face and a lower face opposite the upper face. The pin has two convex portions each having an inclined inner wall and an inclined outer wall, the inclined walls of each convex portion forming a ridge and extending along the longitudinal axis. At least one ridge has on its lower face a protruding blade obtained by cutting and folding the metal body along the longitudinal axis. A concave portion of the pin connects the inner walls of each convex portion via a central surface. The pin has at least one blocking member.

Ceiling fan motor adapter

A motor adapter assembly can couple a motor shaft for a ceiling fan motor to a downrod. The motor adapter assembly can include a base plate, a cradle with arms extending through the base plate, and a threaded bushing secured between the arms of the cradle. Threading a cap to the threaded bushing can be used to pivot the downrod between an upright position and a pivoted position.

A self-locking pin having a shaft, a headed end, and plunger biased in a bore in the pin. The portion of the detent or plunger that extends outwardly from the bore may be wedge-shaped, or possess other geometrical shapes, while the portion of the plunger disposed inside the bore is of a cylindrical shape or other geometrical shapes. The plunger comprises a plunger section and a biasing section in a unitary one-piece construction. At least one transition ledge is defined on the plunger. The shaft is staked at points along the perimeter of the bore so that the inwardly extending surface created by the staking abuts the transition ledge and prevents the plunger from rotating or being removed from the bore.
