Compensation nut fastener assembly

A compensation nut fastener assembly to connect first and second panels includes first and second nuts. The first nut includes a shaft having an outer threaded portion and a fastener-receiving channel. The first nut is connected to the first panel through the fastener, and the fastener is threadably secured to the first nut within the fastener-receiving channel. The second nut threadably retains the first nut, and includes a retaining wall having an internal threaded portion defining a central passage configured to threadably engage the outer threaded portion of the shaft of the first nut. The second nut is connected to the second panel, and the first nut is moveable within the central passage toward the first panel when the fastener threadably engages the first nut in order to compensate for a gap between the first panel and the second panel.

A roof-mount antenna mounting structure includes a first threaded part, a second threaded part, a legged washer, a leg opening preventing part and a receiving part. The legged washer has a washer ring having a size smaller than the diameter of a mounting hole of a vehicle roof and a leg part extending from the washer ring and having a plurality of claws that can abut against the vehicle roof. The leg part has such elasticity that it closes once when the legged washer is inserted into the mounting hole of the vehicle roof from the washer ring side and recovers to substantially the original opening state after insertion. The leg opening preventing part has a horizontal part and a vertical part and prevents the leg part from opening at a predetermined angle or more when the claws abut against the vehicle roof.

ONE-PIECE STUD AND CLIP

A one-piece stud and clip is provided by a process working sheet material into a monolithic stud and U-clip fastener. The process includes forming an elongated stud from the sheet material, and bending the sheet material to form the clip. The stud can be a rolled cylinder of the sheet material, or an uninterrupted stud drawn from the sheet material.

RETAINER AND A RETAINER AND NUT ASSEMBLY

A retainer comprises first and second legs extending away from a base wall. In one embodiment, the first leg includes a dimple array surrounding an aperture and projecting from an inboard surface of the first leg. In another embodiment, the first leg has a necked portion having a set of first shoulders extending away from a first base, and a first apertured portion extending away from the set of first shoulders. The second leg has a necked and stepped portion having a step extending away from a second base, and a shouldered portion extending away from the step and having a set of second shoulders extending laterally outwardly, and a second apertured portion extending away from the second shoulders. The retainer of either embodiment may be coupled to a nut to produce a retainer and nut assembly.

COMPENSATION NUT FASTENER ASSEMBLY

A compensation nut fastener assembly may include a first nut including a first channel, a second nut including a second channel configured to receive a portion of the first nut, and a torque clip including at least one securing member radially extending from the shaft. The shaft is securely fixed within the first channel. The securing member(s) may include a fixing clip that securely fixes the torque clip to the first nut, and an offset tab that defines a minimum offset distance between the first nut and the second nut.

Stud Clip Insert for Panel Hole

Fastening clips, motorized vehicles with fastening clips, and methods for using fastening clips are disclosed. A fastening clip is disclosed for attaching a component to a panel using a threaded fastener. The fastening clip includes a body that inserts into the aperture. The clip body has a flange that seats against one surface of the panel. One or more flexible retaining clips project from the clip body to seat against an opposing panel surface and, with the flange, attach the fastening clip to the panel. Flexible ratchet fingers extend from the clip body into an internal cavity. The ratchet fingers are located on respective sides of the cavity, and are spaced to extend to respective axial positions within the cavity. These ratchet fingers are located and spaced so that only one ratchet finger, at a given time, seats between adjacent threads when the fastener is inserted into the internal cavity.

Expandable Collet Bodies with Sectional Finger-Based Anti-Rotation Feature, Clips, Inserts and Systems Thereof

Expandable collet bodies with sectional finger-based anti-rotation features are disclosed. The collet body comprises not only a plurality of gripping finger as a first part of a two-part anti-rotation means (ARM), but also a first part of a two part translation arresting means (TAM), which may or may not be sectional in nature. The TAM prevents over translation of a collet body within the work piece(s), and cooperates with a second part of the TAM associated with a work piece or an auxiliary structure. In this manner, a collet body inserted into a work piece or auxiliary structure will not accidentally be pushed beyond the blind side of the work piece(s) during insertion or initial clamp-up.

WELDED BOARD AND ELECTRICAL CABINET STRUCTURE presents a cabinet built with welded frames that use vertical and horizontal profiles, having an internal fastening wall with holes and cutouts to the fitting of a cage nut and an internal fastening tab, a side sealing surface, a front sealing surface and the isolation barrier, the structure being assembled with at least two welded frames, which are assembled in parallel and joined through four depth profiles, said depth profiles being joined directly to the welded frames vertices.

Clip nut
09816547 · 2017-11-14 · ·

A clip nut, including a clip. The clip has a first retaining device, a second retaining device, and a connecting device, which connects the first retaining device to the second retaining device. The distance between the retaining devices is variable. The extension of the first and second retaining devices substantially define an x axis and the extension of the connecting device substantially defines a z axis. A y axis is perpendicular to the x axis and the z axis. The clip nut also includes a nut, which is arranged on the second retaining device such that an axis of the nut is aligned parallel to the z axis and/or perpendicular to the x axis. The axis of the nut is pivotable from the position of the axis of the nut parallel to the z axis and/or perpendicular to the x axis about the axis in an xz plane such that the parallelism of the axis of the nut with respect to the z axis and/or the perpendicular position of the axis of the nut with respect to the x axis is abandoned. A seal facing the first retaining device is provided on the nut, and a component, to which the clip nut is fastened, directly contacts the first retaining device and the seal.
