An example pivot nut assembly includes a pivot body and a nut. The nut is pivotably engaged in the pivot body.

A barrier for the inside of a home. The barrier includes two partitions that slide relative to each other to increase and decrease a distance between ends of the barrier. The partitions slide into and out of confronting relationships with each other. The partitions engage each other at upper and lower locations and further at a medial location where an elongate member of one partition is received in a tube engaged to the other partition. A threaded piece upon being turned brings pressure to bear upon an end of the tube such that the partitions can be incrementally expanded apart and thereby pressurized between two locations within the home so as to block off one portion of the home. In a fixing structure and fixing method of a wire bobbin, the wire bobbin is abutted against the regulating member with the bolt inserted into the insertion hole of the wire bobbin. Then, a nut is inserted into a through hole while being kept inclined so that the axis of the through hole is substantially aligned with the axis of the bolt. Thereafter, the inclination of the nut is returned so that the axis of threaded hole becomes substantially aligned with the axis of the bolt, and then the nut is turned so as to insert part of a tapered portion into the insertion hole.

An angled coupling including a main pass-through coupler to allow a first threaded rod to pass therethrough and a second coupling extending at angle therefrom to receive second threaded rod. The main coupler is configured to be secured to any location on the first threaded rod without requiring it to be screwed onto first threaded rod. The main coupler includes a first half and a second half spaced from each other that can be secured together at desired location on first threaded rod. The main coupler includes an upper section having a first approximately half of body thereof and corresponding threads and lower section having a second approximately half of body, opposite the first half, and corresponding threads. The first threaded rod is retained in both halves by insertion and rotation until the threaded rod snaps in place and kept fixed with retaining clips.

A quick install nut is provided. The nut includes an entrance end, an exit end, a first threaded portion corresponding to the entrance end, a second threaded portion corresponding to the exit end and connected with the first threaded portion. The first threaded portion includes a first slot, a segment of first internal thread formed in the first slot, and a first relief space communicating with the first slot radially. The second threaded portion includes a second slot, a segment of second internal thread formed in the second slot, and a second relief space communicating with the second slot radially. The first and the second slots are disposed on a central axis in a staggered manner. A compression wall is formed on the first threaded portion. After being tilted, the nut is placed and moved along a threaded fastener and returned to achieve fast and firm fastening.

The main body comprises an internal lumen or passageway having a plurality of guiding surfaces and securing surfaces. The securing surfaces are preferably angled surfaces. The angled orientation provides a securing member insertion axis (which also forms the longitudinal axis) and a securing member securing axis; each axis forming a separate plane to allow the quick release fastener to quickly and easily traverse between a locked position and an unlocked position.

A slotted nut has a body with a top surface, a bottom surface and a central axis. The body includes a base portion with first and second corners diagonally disposed from each other, the base portion including a flat surface. First arm portion and second arm portion extend from the first and second corners, respectively. The first and second arm portions are each C-shaped with respective first and second half-circle threaded openings including respective first and second centers disposed on the central axis. The first and second half-circle threaded openings face inwardly toward the central axis. The bottom surface is ramped from a third corner on the bottom surface toward the first arm portion to define a gap between the bottom surface below the first arm portion and a horizontal plane perpendicular to the central axis when the third corner is on the bottom surface.
