Spoke locking architecture
A spoke locking arrangement comprising a washer seated in a seat defined in a structural ring of a gas turbine engine, the washer having a portion thereof plastically deformed into an anti-rotation notch defined in the structural ring, thereby locking the washer against rotation in the seat, the washer further comprising a set of holes for receiving corresponding bolts, and wherein the washer further has at least one anti-rotation tab at each hole, the anti-rotation tabs being deformable in engagement with the bolts to individually lock the same against rotation.
Lockout device
A lockout device configured to prevent access to a pipe flange connection comprises a bar, a pair of opposed cup sections, and an engagement mechanism. The pair of opposed cup sections may each include a main cup segment coupled to the bar and a hinged cup segment hingedly coupled to the main cup segment. One or more of the main cup segments can be slidably coupled to the bar and the engagement mechanism can be configured to selectively prevent the main cup segments(s) that is/are slidably coupled to the bar from sliding relative to the bar. This engagement mechanism or latch can be hinged on a side of the bar opposite a side of the bar on which the engagement mechanism includes openings for receiving one or more locks.
WHEEL-NUT LOCKING CLAMP
A wheel-nut locking clamp for locking neighboring wheel-nuts to prevent them from turning, said wheel-nut locking clamp including a first portion, a second portion and an intermediary portion. The first portion and the second portion are each provided with a flange located at the perimeter of respective through holes, the flanges being arranged at an angle relative to the first and second portions, respectively, so that the flanges extend away from said wheel-facing side, and the flanges being provided with a plurality of protruding elements extending towards a center axis of the through holes.
Extraction device for removing an adapter secured in a port
This disclosure relates generally to couplings used in mining and other applications. An extraction device for removing an adapter from a port formed in a structure is provided. The extraction device may include an end wall and a side wall. The end wall may define an external face of the extraction device. The side wall may extend axially away from a periphery of the end wall. The side wall may terminate at an end face of the extraction device. The end face may have a larger dimension than the port so as to abut the structure adjacent to a periphery of the port. The side wall may include an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface may have a threaded portion.
Locking nut and associated fastener
The present invention relates to a locking nut (10), comprising: a body (20) and a bore passing through said body along a main axis, the body comprising: a bearing face (30); a drive surface (32); and at least one through-hole (38), substantially perpendicular to the main axis from the radial drive surface. The body further comprises a locking collar (36) of elliptical shape; and the drive surface comprises an upper region (50) and a lower region (52), adjacent along the main axis, the lower region being situated between the upper region and the bearing surface; a perimeter of the lower region around the main axis being greater than a perimeter of the upper region; the at least one through-hole (38) extending from the upper region (50).
SAFETY DEVICE FOR A VEHICLE WHEEL
The present invention relates to a safety device (10) for a wheel (11) of a vehicle comprising a rim (12) designed to be fixed to a hub (14) by means of rotational fastening elements (16). The safety device (10) comprises: a plurality of locking elements (30), each element of said plurality of locking elements (30) being suitable for being applied onto one of the rotational fastening elements (16) of the wheel (11) so as to be constrained to rotate together with the rotational fastening element (16); a protection element (20) suitable for being fixed to the rim (12) and comprising a plurality of housing cavities (22); each cavity of said plurality of housing cavities (22) being suitable for receiving one locking element (30); securing means suitable for interfering with the plurality of locking elements (30) to prevent the rotation and/or the extraction of said locking elements (30) from the rotational fastening elements (16). In accordance with the invention the securing means comprising a gripping element (40) suitable for being inserted inside a seat (50) so as to radially engage each element of said plurality of locking elements (30), thereby preventing said locking element (30) from being extracted from the corresponding rotational fastening element (16) and from coming out of its housing cavity (22).
SELF-ANTI-ROTATING DUAL LOCK WASHER
A disclosed lock washer includes a first opening spaced apart from a second opening for receiving fasteners and preventing rotation. A first set of tabs is associated with the first opening and a second set of tabs is associated with the second opening. Each of the first and second set of tabs are bendable to a lock position preventing rotation of a fastener received within a corresponding one of the first opening and the second opening.
Locking device for a threaded fastener
A locking device for a component having at least one and preferably two threaded fasteners is provided. The device includes a first clamping section configured to be secured around a first threaded fastener, and a second clamping section at a spaced location from the first clamping section arranged to be secured around a further element relative to which the first fastener is rotational. The second element may be a second threaded fastener, or a fixed feature such as the body of a pipe coupling. A bridging element is also provided that connects the two clamping sections and prevents rotation of the first and second clamping sections relative to each other. The clamping sections are configured to surround, compress and/or deform against the circumferential surface of a part of the fastener, which may be a nut or a bolt head, such that the clamping section is rotationally fixed relative to the fastener.
NUT RETENTION SYSTEM
A nut retention arrangement may comprise a first nut comprising a first threaded aperture and a first retention aperture, a second nut comprising a second threaded aperture and a second retention aperture, and a tensile member having a first end extending through the first retention aperture and a second end extending through the second retention aperture such that rotation in a direction toward loosening of either the first nut or the second nut causes rotation in a direction toward tightening of the other of the first nut or the second nut.
