20210341014 · 2021-11-04 ·

A bearing assembly for supporting a rotor in a fixed housing includes multiple slide bearing segments, each having a slide bearing body supported against a sliding surface. In the region of each slide bearing segment, the bearing clearance between the respective slide bearing body and the sliding surface is adjustable by an adjustment screw, each adjustment screw having an outer thread via which the screw can be screwed into a recess having an inner thread, each adjustment screw having a groove delimited on both sides by adjustment screw sections. A clamping screw extends through the adjustment screw sections and also through the groove, the adjustment screw sections can be clamped by the clamping screw, whereby each adjustment screw can be secured in the respective recess.

Fluid film bearing

A fluid film bearing includes a plurality of bearing pads that are arranged in a circumferential direction of a rotating body that rotates about an axis, and that support the rotating body via a fluid film, wherein the bearing pad includes a base layer made of metal, an elastic layer that is layered on the rotating body side of the base layer, and that is made of an elastically deformable elastic material, a sliding layer that is layered on the rotating body side of the elastic layer, and that opposes the rotating body and is made of a bearing material, and a metal plate that is layered between the elastic layer and the sliding layer, and that is more rigid than the elastic layer and the sliding layer.

Wind turbine rotor blade pitch bearing

Bearing system, bearing system control method, and computer program for controlling bearing system

In order to enable a bearing system in which a plurality of bearings operate simultaneously or in association with each other to achieve an optimal overall performance: this bearing system is equipped with a bearing A and a measurement execution unit A therefor, a bearing B and a measurement execution unit B therefor, and a control unit for controlling the measurement execution unit A and the measurement execution unit B; the control unit transmits an instruction to the measurement execution unit A and the measurement execution unit B to enable execution of the performance required of the bearing system. The measurement execution unit A and the measurement execution unit B respectively operate the bearing A and the bearing B under an instructed operation condition. The relationship of an operation condition A of the bearing A and an operation condition B of the bearing B to an index, which indicates each of the operational states of the bearing A and the bearing B when the bearing A and the bearing B are operated under the operation conditions therefor, has been measured and saved in advance. The control unit references the relationship and accordingly transmits an instruction to the measurement execution unit A and the measurement execution unit B.

Bearing whose load supporting position can be changed

A bearing of which a load supporting position capable of being changed, including: a cylindrical housing comprising a hollow inner circumferential surface; one or more support members provided in the housing and disposed along a circumferential direction of the inner circumferential surface; a plurality of pin holes provided along an outer circumferential surface of the housing; and a rotation preventing pin coupled to a first pin hole of the plurality of pin holes and configured to prevent rotation of the housing. In addition, threads are formed on inner circumferential surfaces of the pin holes and an outer circumferential surface of the rotation preventing pin to enable a pin hole and the rotation preventing pin to be easily coupled and decoupled.

Bearing assemblies including thick superhard tables and/or selected exposures, bearing apparatuses, and methods of use

Embodiments of the invention are directed to bearing assemblies configured to effectively provide heat dissipation for bearing elements, bearing apparatuses including such bearing assemblies, and methods of operating such bearing assemblies and apparatuses. In an embodiment, a bearing assembly includes a plurality of superhard bearing elements distributed about an axis. Each superhard bearing element of the plurality of superhard bearing elements has a superhard table including a superhard surface. The bearing assembly includes a support ring structure coupled to the plurality of superhard bearing elements. One or more of the superhard bearing elements includes a superhard table, which may improve heat transfer from such superhard bearing elements.

Closed cycle heat engine

Heat engines employing fluid bearing assemblies hermetically sealed with a closed flowpath for a working fluid are generally disclosed. For example, the heat engine includes a rotating drivetrain and a fluid bearing assembly. The rotating drivetrain includes a compressor section, an expander section, and a heat exchanger. The compressor section and expander section together define at least in part a closed flowpath for the flow of a working fluid. The heat exchanger is thermally coupled to the closed flowpath for adding heat to the working fluid. The fluid bearing assembly is configured to utilize the working fluid to support the rotating drivetrain. Further, the fluid bearing assembly is hermetically sealed with the closed flowpath.
