Press-fit combination bearing

A combined axial and radial bearing assembly is provided, having a radial bearing including an outer ring having a constant outside diameter, and radially inwardly extending flanges located at axial ends thereof. A radial bearing cage having an axially extended rim on a first side, and radial rolling elements therein is located within the outer ring. An axial bearing is provided including an axial bearing ring having a thrust race, and an axially extending flange connected to a radially inner end thereof. The axially extending flange has an ID that is less than the OD of the radial bearing outer ring. An axial bearing cage with thrust rolling elements located in at least some of the pockets is also provided. The axially extending flange of the axial bearing is press fit on the OD of the radial bearing outer ring in a region aligned with the axially extended rim.

Press-fit combination bearing

An axial bearing cage with thrust rolling elements located in at least some of the pockets is also provided. The axially extending flange of the axial bearing is press fit on the OD of the radial bearing outer ring in a region aligned with the axially extended rim.

STRAIN WAVE DRIVE BEARING ASSEMBLY

A bearing assembly for a strain wave drive includes a full complement of bearing components arranged to be mounted closely adjacent each other around the peripheral extent of a wave generator. The number of bearing components is the maximum number of said bearing components that can be accommodated in the peripheral extent. The assembly can be includes in a strain wave drive that includes a wave generator arranged to rotate about an axis and having an elliptical cross-section and a flex spline mounted around the wave generator. The bearing assembly can be located around the wave generator between the wave generator and the flex spline.

BEARING ARRANGEMENT COMPRISING A ROTATION-TRANSLATION CONVERTER, IN PARTICULAR FOR A BRAKE DEVICE, AND LINEAR ACTUATING DEVICE

A bearing arrangement includes a rotation-translation converter, a support component and an axial bearing with a single cage. The rotation-translation converter includes a first component that is axially positionally fixed and rotatable, and a second component that is axially movable by rotation of the first component. The axial bearing is for supporting the first component on the support component. The single cage includes a plurality of first pockets populated by first needles and having a first root circle diameter, and a plurality of second pockets, separate from the first pockets, populated by second needles and having a second root circle diameter that is greater than the first root circle diameter.

The inner ring includes a first raceway surface facing the outer ring in a radial direction, and a second raceway surface and a third raceway surface facing the outer ring in an axial direction. The second raceway surface is located on an inner side in the axial direction with respect to the outer ring, and the third raceway surface is located on an outer side in the axial direction with respect to the outer ring. The plurality of needle rollers include a plurality of first needle rollers disposed between the first raceway surface and the outer ring, a plurality of second needle rollers disposed between the second raceway surface and the outer ring, and a plurality of third needle rollers disposed between the third raceway surface and the outer ring.
