Bearing cage

A bearing cage for receiving rolling elements is disclosed. In addition to two rings, the bearing cage also has a plurality of webs which run axially between the rings. In order to prevent the rolling elements from falling out of the pockets formed between the rings and the webs, the webs have a groove which runs in the direction of the respective web. When the rolling elements are inserted into the pockets, a tool engages into the groove and bends the edge region of the web in a direction of the rolling elements.

Taper Roller Bearing

A taper roller bearing includes: an inner ring, an outer ring, a plurality of taper rollers, and an annular cage which holds the plurality of taper rollers at an interval in the circumferential direction. The cage includes a small-diameter annular portion on one axial side, a large-diameter annular portion on the other axial side, and a plurality of column portions. An inner circumferential surface of the small-diameter annular portion includes a first inner circumferential surface portion and a second inner circumferential surface portion having a small diameter. An outer circumferential surface of the small flange included in the inner ring includes a first outer circumferential surface portion which opposes the first inner circumferential surface portion having a fine clearance, and a second outer circumferential surface portion which has a small diameter and opposes the second inner circumferential surface portion having a fine clearance.

A component of a universal joint bearing includes at least one casing having a cylindrical wall and a base and at least one formation projecting from the base. The at least one formation is receivable in a clamp of a rotational processing machine to secure the component to the rotational processing machine during a rotational machining of a wall of the component. Also a method that includes clamping the component by the formation and machining inner and outer surfaces of the component without unclamping the component.

TAPERED ROLLER BEARING

A tapered roller bearing includes an inner ring, an outer ring, a plurality of tapered rollers, and an annular cage that holds the tapered rollers. The cage has a small annular portion positioned toward the axially first side with respect to the tapered rollers, a large annular portion positioned toward the axially second side with respect to the tapered rollers, and a plurality of cage bars that couples the small annular portion and the large annular portion together, and the cage is enabled to come into contact with an inner peripheral surface of the outer ring so that the contact allows the cage to be positioned in a radial direction. The small annular portion is provided with introduction channels through which lubricant is enabled to be introduced from a bearing exterior on the axially first side into an annular space formed between the inner and outer rings.

A bearing cage or bearing cage segment is disclosed, in particular for a rolling-element bearing, wherein the bearing cage includes a polyetheretherketone (PEEK) base material having a low and medium viscosity, and less than 30%, in particular 15% to 25%, reinforcing material is added to the base material, and the reinforced PEEK material has a shrinkage in the melt-flow direction that falls in the range of 0.4% to 0.6%.

BEARING CAGE

The invention relates to a bearing cage (1) for receiving rolling elements (6). In addition to two rings (2, 3), the bearing cage also has a plurality of webs (4) which run axially between the rings (2, 3). In order to prevent the rolling elements (6) from falling out of the pockets (5) formed between the rings (2, 3) and the webs (4), the webs (4) are at least provided with a groove (7a) which runs in the direction of the respective web (4). When the rolling elements (6) are inserted into the pockets (5), a tool (9) engages into the groove (7a) and bends the edge region (11) of the web (4) in a direction of the rolling elements (6) inserted into the pockets (5).
