CAGE SEGMENT OF A ROLLING BEARING

A cage segment for a rolling bearing, in particular a taper roller bearing, includes: two side plates; at least two bridges connecting the two side plates a complete rolling element pocket being between each pair of bridges and an incomplete rolling element pocket formed by regions of the two side plates which project beyond the bridges in a circumferential direction of the cage segment. Two end faces of each side plate are contoured differently, in particular are convex in one case and flat in the other case.

A cage segment for a rolling-element bearing having a plurality of rolling elements includes at least one bridge and first and second plates extending from axial ends of the bridge, sides of the bridge being configured to guide rolling elements. Radially inner or outer edges of each of the bridges include at least one axial channel having channel walls projecting radially and circumferentially from the radial inner or outer edge.

A cage segment for a rolling bearing, includes a central portion extending in the circumferential direction and delimiting a plurality of through pockets for receiving rollers. The central portion have first, and second walls extending in the circumferential direction and provided with internal surfaces opposite one another and forming abutment surfaces for the end faces of the rollers. A first lateral shoulder outwardly extends from the first wall of the central portion, and a second lateral shoulder outwardly extends from the second wall of the central portion by being oriented at right angles to the first lateral shoulder, and at least one outwardly open recess being formed on each of the first and second lateral shoulders.

Cage segment for a rolling-element bearing cage

A cage segment is for a rolling-element bearing cage, particularly for large rolling-element bearings. The cage segment includes a first side element and a second side element that are connected by a first bridge and a second bridge. At least one pocket is formed between the first and second bridges which is suitable for receiving at least one rolling element. The cage segment is manufactured from sheet metal.

A rolling-element bearing includes first and second rings having axial and radial raceways and a row of first radial rolling elements between the axial raceways. At least one row of axial rolling elements is located between a first radial raceway of the first ring and a first radial raceway of the second ring and radially located between an axial guiding face of the first ring and an axial guiding face of the second ring. The axial rolling elements are mounted in the pockets of a cage having a plurality of cage segments, and at least one second radial rolling element is circumferentially interposed between two adjacent cage segments of the plurality of cage segments and radially interposed between the axial guiding faces.

An installation tool for a bearing ring including rolling elements includes a ring that is configured to be disposed on a lateral surface of the bearing ring and slider elements extending through receptacles in the ring. The slider elements are uniformly distributed circumferentially around the ring and are displaceable relative to the ring from an initial position into an end position and are configured to be disposed in the end position between two rolling elements and against a contact surface of a wall of a cage segment, which wall is disposed between two rolling elements, in order to limit axial and radial movement of the rolling elements relative to the bearing ring.

A retained roller set includes first and second individual tube-shaped members each having first and second axially spaced rings connected by bar elements that define pockets therebetween, the tube-shaped members being coaxially arranged and radially spaced to define a circumferentially extending intermediate space therebetween in which a plurality of roller elements are received and retained by the pockets of the first and second tube-shaped members.
