Axial alignment assembly, and charged particle microscope comprising such an alignment assembly
An axial alignment assembly (100) comprising a first body and a second body. The first body has a substantially cylindrical outer jacket, and has a first alignment axis. The second body comprises a substantially cylindrical inner jacket, and has a second alignment axis. The second body is positioned with respect to said first body in so that said inner jacket faces said outer jacket and in between said inner jacket and said outer jacket a substantially annular recess is formed. The axial alignment assembly further comprises a plurality of resilient elements that are positioned within said annular recess, wherein each resilient element is in contact with said outer jacket of said first body and with said inner jacket of said second body. Each resilient element exerts a force onto said outer jacket and onto said inner jacket for aligning said first alignment axis and said second alignment axis.
SEAL ASSEMBLY WITH A LOAD BEARING RING
A seal assembly is for sealing a space adjacent to a bearing and defined between an inner member and an outer member disposed about the inner member. The seal assembly includes an annular seal disposed about the inner member and having a sealing lip sealingly engageable with the inner member. An annular load ring is disposed within the outer member bore and has an inner circumferential surface defining a bore, the seal being disposed within the bore and coupled with the ring. A first axial end of the ring is disposed against the bearing outer ring, or a spacer disposed axially between the load ring and the bearing outer ring, and a second axial end is disposed against a radial surface of the outer member. The load ring is configured to support axial loading on, and to prevent axial displacement of, the bearing outer ring.
Retention configuration for face spline interface
A wheel bearing assembly is disclosed that a bearing ring defining a first splined portion, a joint element including a second splined portion configured to matingly engage with the first splined portion, and a first retention assembly arranged radially outward from the first and second splined portions. The first retention assembly is configured to axially retain the bearing ring with the joint element.
Seal Air Buffer and Oil Scupper System and Method
A turbine engine strut stage extends through a gaspath upstream of a guide vane stage. A carbon seal system seals a bearing compartment and has: a carbon seal mounted to the case and a seal runner on the spool; and a seal carrier carrying the carbon seal. The engine passes buffer air along a buffer air supply path internally through one or more first struts of the stage of struts. The engine drains oil along an oil drain path internally through one or more second struts of the stage of struts.
Low-friction sealing device for wheel hub assemblies connected to constant-velocity joints
A sealing device for wheel hubs connected to constant-velocity joints including a first sealing assembly arranged between inner and outer rings of the wheel hub, and a second sealing assembly mounted on the inner ring and straddling the wheel hub and an outer ring of the constant-velocity joint. The first sealing assembly has a signal generating element having an annular insert mounted externally on a shield facing the constant-velocity joint and extending axially projecting above part of an annular step formed, on the same side as the constant-velocity joint, on a radially outer side surface of the inner ring, in a position immediately adjacent to the sleeve portion of the first shield. The second sealing assembly includes a tubular support keyed onto the inner ring by its first end on the outside edge folded in the manner of an L and shaped to engage inside the annular insert.
Sealing device for wheel hub assembly
Sealing device for a wheel hub assembly provided with a rolling bearing, the sealing device being provided with a shield mounted on an outer ring of the bearing and with an annular cylindrical wall having an inner lateral surface mounted on an outer lateral surface of a collar of the outer ring; and with a sealing material fixed to the shield; an annular snap catch being positioned radially inside the cylindrical wall and extending radially from the inner lateral surface through a specified radial thickness so as to be snap-fitted into a circular groove formed on the outer lateral surface of the collar, and the sealing material being positioned behind the catch before the shield is mounted on the outer ring, with a radial overall dimension smaller than the thickness of the catch.
SPLIT PLUMMER BLOCK BEARING HOUSING
A split plummer block bearing housing for a rotatable shaft includes a detachable housing cap, which includes at least one housing grease channel, and at least one seal assembly. The seal assembly includes a stationary part, which has a seal grease channel and is mounted on the housing, and a rotating part that is configured to be mounted on the shaft. The stationary part and the rotating part are configured to cooperate with each other as a labyrinth and/or contacting seal, and the housing grease channel and the seal grease channel connect and form an extension of each other.
Housing element with end cover having an optimized sealing action
A housing element having a casing provided with a spherical seat, a bearing unit located inside the spherical seat of the casing and provided with a radially inner ring, and a plastic end cover provided with a radial through-hole so that a machine shaft can be inserted inside it, the end cover being integral with the shaft and rotatable with the shaft, and the end cover being provided with an elastomeric seal for forming a static seal on the shaft.
BEARING SEAT ASSEMBLY
A bearing seat assembly for a roller assembly includes a bearing seat; a bearing, arranged inside the bearing seat; a first seal, including at least two sealing lips. The first seal is installed on the bearing seat and is arranged on a first axial outer side of the bearing. At least one sealing lip of the at least two sealing lips of the first seal is arranged around the inner or outer circumference of the first seal. The bearing seat assembly according to the present disclosure realizes enhanced sealing, avoids re-lubrication, improves thermal performance, and prolongs service life.
