Bearing and bearing arrangement
A spherical roller bearing having an outer ring providing at least one inner raceway, an inner ring providing a first and a second outer raceway, a plurality of roller elements arranged in a first and second roller row in-between the at least one inner raceway and the respective first and second outer raceway is provided. The bearing provides a cage for guiding the roller elements in the first and second roller row, the cage includes a plurality of cage pockets, wherein in each cage pocket one of the roller elements is disposed. The bearing further presents a specific pitch circle diameter (PCD), and the cage is essentially in-pitch roller centered in relation to the pitch circle diameter (PCD) when there is an axial force acting on the bearing. In addition, the present invention regards a bearing arrangement and a wind turbine bearing arrangement.
Wheel bearing apparatus
A wheel bearing apparatus has a double row angular contact ball bearing. A height of a shoulder of a shoulder portion (18) of an outer member (12) with respect to a ball diameter of a double ball (14) row is set in a range of 0.35 to 0.50 mm. A corner (19) of the shoulder portion (18) has a relief surface (19a) and a chamfered portion (19b). The relief surface is on a straight line that is on a tangent line of an outer raceway surface (12a). The chamfered portion (19b) is round in a circular arc with a predetermined radius of curvature r. The corner (19) is formed simultaneously by a formed grinding wheel forming the double row outer raceway surface (12a). The corner is formed smoothly continuous from each outer raceway surface (12a). A length in the radial direction of the relief surface (19a) is set greater than or equal to 0.2 mm.
HIGH-CAPACITY MULTI-ROW WHEEL BEARING
A wheel bearing has four rows of ball rollers. All four of the rows are at the same radius from an axis of rotation and have the same number of rollers. The bearing is assembled by inserting the rollers radially into raceways of a single piece outer ring and of two ring portions of a split inner ring. Then, the inner ring portions are assembled to the outer ring and to each other axially.
Bearing cage assembly including stiffening ring
A bearing cage assembly is disclosed. The assembly includes a stiffening ring formed from a first material, and a cage formed from a second material that is different than the first material. The cage includes a plurality of arms extending axially away from a base rim. The plurality of arms define a plurality of rolling element pockets therebetween. Each of the plurality of arms defines a slot dimensioned to receive a portion of the stiffening ring, such that the stiffening ring is secured to the cage via engagement within the slots of the plurality of arms.
