WEDGE CLUTCH WITH MUTUALLY SUPPORTING WEDGE PLATES AND SELF-LOCKING DISPLACEMENT ASSEMBLY
A wedge clutch, including: a shaft; a hub radially disposed about the shaft; an outer ring located radially outward of the hub; a wedge plate radially disposed between the hub and the outer ring; and a displacement assembly including a first element and a plunger assembly at least partly disposed within the hub. To transition from a disconnect mode to a connect mode, the displacement assembly is arranged to displace the hub in a second axial direction and a portion of the plunger assembly is arranged to displace radially inward to block axial displacement of the hub in the first axial direction. To transition from the connect mode to the disconnect mode, the portion of the plunger assembly is arranged to displace radially outward through the hub and the first element is arranged to displace the hub in the first axial direction.
CLUTCH ASSEMBLY BRAKE
The disclosure describes a clutch assembly that includes a first clutch element coupled to an input shaft and including a first clutch element friction surface; a second clutch element coupled to an output shaft, and a brake clutch coupled to a stationary component. The second clutch element includes a first friction surface configured to engage the first clutch element friction surface and a second friction surface opposite the first friction surface. The second clutch element is configured to move relative to the first clutch element to engage and disengage the first friction surface and the first clutch element friction surface. The brake clutch includes a brake clutch friction surface configured to engage the second friction surface of the second clutch element when the first clutch element and the second clutch element are disengaged.

Cone clutch system
In examples, a cone clutch assembly includes an inner cone member rotationally coupled to a first shaft, the inner cone member defining a first friction surface; and an outer cone member rotationally coupled to a second shaft, the outer cone member defining a second friction surface opposing the first friction surface. The inner cone member and outer cone member may be selectively engaged and disengaged from another. When the inner cone member is engaged with the outer cone member, the first friction surface of the inner cone member frictionally engages the second friction surface of the outer cone member such that rotational motion is transferred between the inner cone member and the outer cone member. The inner cone member includes at least one hole including an inlet near a front edge of the inner cone member and that extends through the inner cone member adjacent to the first friction surface.
Door unlock mechanism
A method and device for unlatching a door from a frame, using a keyless door latch system, is provided. In one embodiment, a secondary unlocking component receives a signal and derives power from the signal to provide a power source for the keyless door latch system. A microcontroller generates a control signal and an actuator, in response to receiving the control signal, actuates the secondary unlocking component, which allows an energy source, from an exterior of the door, to be transferred to the keyless door latch system for the unlatching of the door.
Torsion damping assembly and motor vehicle
A torsional damper arrangement for a motor vehicle with a housing. The housing encloses a wet space. A momentum start clutch arrangement is arranged in the housing.
Motor with a cone clutch motor brake
A brake assembly comprising: (a) a caliper including: (i) one or more pistons, (b) one or more rotary to linear actuators that provides an axial force to move the one or more pistons, (c) a motor gear unit in communication with the one or more rotary to linear actuators, the motor gear unit including: (i) a motor; and (b) a motor brake that prevents movement of the motor gear unit, the pistons, or both when the motor is turned off so that a brake apply is maintained, the motor brake including: (i) housing; (ii) an engaging element; (iii) a sleeve, and (iv) a solenoid that is in communication with the sleeve so that when the solenoid moves the sleeve, the engaging element is moved into contact with the housing creating a braking force.
Clutch for use in actuating a wing tip device
A clutch for use in actuating an aircraft wing tip device is disclosed. The clutch includes first and second friction members each having a frusto-conical friction surface, and a third friction member arranged coaxially with, and between, the first and second friction members. The third friction member has first and second frusto-conical friction surfaces. When the clutch is engaged, the first and second friction surfaces of the third friction member are brought into contact with the friction surfaces of the first and second friction members, respectively. The clutch also includes spacer means operable to separate the friction surfaces from one another when the clutch is in a disengaged state.
Hydraulic powertrain component mount with variable stiffness
A powertrain component mount includes a housing, a main rubber element, a hydraulic body, a membrane and a valve. The main rubber element has an outer armature, an inner armature and an isolating element coupled to the armatures, the isolating element being formed of a material that is more flexible than the outer armature and the inner armature, wherein the main rubber element defines at least part of a fluid flow path. The hydraulic body supports the outer armature of the main rubber element, defines part of the fluid flow path, a fluid chamber, and part of a control chamber communicated with the fluid flow path. The hydraulic body has a port open to the control chamber. The membrane defines part of the control chamber and the valve has a valve head movable between a first position closing the port and a second position spaced from the port.
