A friction clutch mechanism includes a diaphragm spring, a pressure plate having a peripheral fulcrum acting against a first face of the diaphragm spring, and a pair of axially opposed intermediate fulcrums supported by a clutch cover and acting on the opposite faces of the diaphragm spring along a radially intermediate portion thereof. The friction clutch mechanism has an additional elastic element, operatively associated with a first intermediate fulcrum of the pair of axially opposed intermediate fulcrums, and axially and elastically compressible in response to a deflection of the diaphragm spring towards an open friction condition. The additional elastic element has a radially innermost annular portion resting on one or more bearing surfaces supported by the clutch cover, and a radially outermost annular portion that cantilevers and has a protrusion circumferentially extended and axially projecting towards the first face of the diaphragm spring to serve as the first intermediate fulcrum.

SEPARATING CLUTCH WITH A RESTORING SPRING WHICH ENGAGES THROUGH AND BEHIND A PRESSURE POT WITH A POSITIVELY LOCKING CONNECTION, DRIVE TRAIN AND METHOD FOR THE ASSEMBLY OF A SEPARATING CLUTCH

A separating clutch for a drive train of a motor vehicle includes a torque forwarding component, an outer multiple disc carrier fixed to the torque forwarding component for conjoint rotation, a first plurality of friction discs, a second plurality of friction discs arranged to transmit torque through a non-positive connection with the first plurality of friction discs, a pressing element having a first side facing the friction discs and a second side, opposite the first side, facing away from the friction discs, and a restoring spring. The pressing element is for axially displacing a one of the first or second plurality of friction discs to realize the non-positive connection, and the restoring spring contacts the pressing element for canceling the non-positive connection. The restoring spring engages through and behind the first side from the second side in a positively locking connection with the pressing element.

FRICTION CLUTCH

A clutch cover for a friction clutch and a friction clutch, where the clutch cover forms a ring wall and the ring wall forms a plurality of circumferentially spaced radially extending plates having each a radially outer end. The ring wall also form two or more concentric annular stiffening bands extending at a radial distance from one another and including an innermost annular stiffening band. The ring wall also forms an outermost annular stiffening band, wherein the annular stiffening bands connect the radial plates to each other and having each a radial thickness that is smaller than the radial distance therebetween measured in intermediate regions of the ring wall between respectively two successive radial plates. A plurality of circumferentially spaced drive members of the friction clutch protrude axially from or can be screw connected to said radially outer ends of the radial plates.
