The first external tooth system is in engagement with an internal tooth system of the sliding sleeve and the second external tooth system can be brought into engagement with the internal tooth system of the sliding sleeve. A first tooth system formed on an output shaft of the electric motor is in engagement with a second tooth system of a gear segment, wherein the gear segment is arranged in a fixed manner on the selector fork. The first tooth system and the second tooth system are each designed as a spur gear tooth system.

Shift isolation lever system for power-actuated coupling device

A clutch assembly incorporated into a power transfer assembly (72) of a motor vehicle is presented. The clutch assembly includes a power-operated clutch actuator (306) for moving a clutch sleeve (354) axially between released and engaged positions between two rotatory members. In the released position, relative rotation between two rotary members is prevented. Whereas in the engaged position, relative rotation is permitted. The power-operated clutch actuator (306) further includes an electromagnetic solenoid with an output member having an extended condition and a retracted condition urging the clutch sleeve (354) between positions. A shift isolation linkage mechanism (304) interconnects the output member of the solenoid to the clutch sleeve (354) and permits movement of the output member to its retracted position while a blocked tooth condition inhibits movement of the clutch sleeve (354) to its engaged position. Once the blocked tooth condition is removed, the isolation linkage mechanism (304) forces the clutch sleeve (354) to its engaged position.

A self-aligning clutch release bearing in which consideration is taken for a fiber flow in a steel sheet of which a side plate is made. Specifically, the side plate is formed with cutout portions at locations where an imaginary line passing through the cutout portions and the center of an inner-diameter portion is across the fiber flow in the steel sheet of which the side plate is made. With this arrangement, the present invention makes it possible that cracks do not develop easily from the cutout portions when a flange portion is formed by means of burring process after the side plate is punched by means of blanking process. This leads to improved yield and increased strength of the side plate.

The present invention provides a rotary shaft assembly applied to a novel clutch system that ensures a 100% torque transmission rate between an engine and a transmission in a vehicle system and can be commonly applied to conventional manual transmission vehicles and automatic vehicles. The rotary shaft assembly converts linear motion of one member to rotary motion of another member, using a combination of a protrusion and an inclined guide slot.

CLUTCH CONFIGURATIONS FOR A MULTIPLE MOTOR MIXED-SPEED CONTINUOUS POWER TRANSMISSION

An electric powertrain includes a first electric motor that has an uninterrupted connection with a drive shaft of a vehicle. The electric powertrain further includes a second electric motor that has an interruptible connection with the drive shaft. In one form, this interruptible connection includes a clutch. The electric powertrain further includes a first gear train in the form of a first planetary gear and a second gear train in the form of a second planetary gear. The clutch in one variation includes a positive clutch in the form of a dog clutch. The dog clutch has a clutch suspension configured to deflect a clutch collar when gearing is misaligned during shifting.

Shifting group, and drive train with a shifting group of this type

A shifting group for a drive train of a motor vehicle for coupling and decoupling a drive shaft of a drive train as required, with an actuator for actuating a blocking element, a selector rod and a selector fork which is connected to the selector rod. The first drive shaft and the second drive shaft are arranged coaxially with respect to one another, the blocking element blocks an axial displacement of the selector rod in a first switching position and enables said axial displacement in a second switching position, the selector fork engages into a groove of one of the drive shafts, an actuation of the shifting group brings about an axial displacement of a drive shaft, and a clutch between the first drive shaft and the second drive shaft is opened or closed by way of the axial displacement of the selector fork.

A greasing device that feeds grease to a portion requiring greasing that is housed inside a housing, and includes a jig and a greasing pipe fixed to the jig. The housing includes a though-hole that extends through the housing. The jig includes an insertion part that is inserted into the through-hole of the housing. A side surface of the insertion part bear a marking-off line at a position a predetermined distance away from a leading end side of the insertion part. A positon of the marking-off line is a height position that the greasing pipe does not come into contact with inner components of the housing when the jig is inserted into the through-hole up to the positon of the marking-off line.

Friction clutch for a motor vehicle powertrain, powertrain unit, transmission unit, and powertrain

A friction clutch includes a reference plane aligned perpendicular to a rotational axis, a first clutch component, and a second clutch component. The first clutch component has a first friction element, a first support part that receives the first friction element, a leaf spring unit including a leaf spring that rotationally fixes the second support part to the first support part. The second clutch component has a second friction element. The first friction element lies against the second friction element in a frictionally locking manner in a closed position, and is axially spaced from the second friction element in an open position. The leaf spring is designed and positioned relative to the reference plane in a set angle in the closed position such that an additional axial force is applied to the first friction element and the second friction element in a drive rotational direction of the first clutch component.
