Cable adjusting unit
A cable adjusting unit includes a first member, a second member and an actuator. The second member is movably arranged with respect to the first member. The actuator is operatively coupled to at least one of the first member and the second member. The actuator is arranged to relatively move the first member with respect to the second member.
Drum brake which can be operated by an electric motor
A drum brake module for motor vehicles, the drum brake module being driven by an electric motor and having at least one parking brake function, includes an electromechanical cable pull actuator which is fastened on the anchor plate with the aid of an adapter. The adapter is designed as a one-piece, thin walled frame having at least one fastening flange for receiving the cable pull actuator and is held in place on the anchor plate.
DIRECT-ACTING SELF-ENERGIZING BRAKE CALIPER
A self-energizing brake caliper includes a caliper bracket fixed to a body of a braked device; a first caliper arm; and a second caliper arm. The first caliper arm comprises a first end which is rotatably connected to the caliper bracket with respect to a first rotation axis extending in the radial direction of a wheel and a second end which is rotatably connected to the inboard brake pad at a first position with respect to a second rotation axis which is parallel with the first rotation axis. The second caliper arm comprises a first end which is rotatably connected to the caliper bracket with respect to a third rotation axis extending in the radial direction of the wheel and a second end which is rotatably connected to the outboard brake pad at a second position with respect to a fourth rotation axis which is parallel with the third rotation axis.
MACHINE SUSPENSION SYSTEM
An embodiment relates to a machine including a prime mover, a drive pulley, a chassis, a subframe, a drive device, a drive belt, and a pulley arrangement. The drive pulley is coupled to the prime mover. The chassis is configured to support at least an operator and the prime mover. The subframe is pivotally coupled to the chassis about a pivot axis. The subframe is further coupled to the chassis via a suspension device. The drive device is configured to drive wheels of the machine. The drive device is configured to be driven by the prime mover. The pulley arrangement is configured to direct the drive belt from the drive pulley to a driven pulley on the drive device. The pulley arrangement comprises at least one idler pulley having a diameter and a rotational axis.
Termination assembly
The invention relates to an umbilical termination assembly for terminating a cable or umbilical. The termination assembly comprises a plurality of umbilical elements extending from an umbilical and which pass through a bulkhead plate. The seated ball element has a spherical body through which an umbilical element passes. The ball element is seated in a cup member which allows the ball element to rotate through a large range of angles allowing it to be aligned with the umbilical element without the umbilical element needing to be manipulated or forced into position. The umbilical element can then be attached to the ball element which is supported by the cup member on the bulkhead. This allows the axial tension in the umbilical element to be transferred to the bulkhead.
Electromechanical brake system having suspension control function
An electromechanical brake system having a suspension control function. The electromechanical brake system includes: an electromechanical brake connected to each wheel of a vehicle to brake the vehicle, a suspension configured to control suspension of the vehicle, a motor configured to provide driving force to the electromechanical brake or to the suspension, a first clutch configured to connect the electromechanical brake and the motor to each other, a second clutch configured to connect the suspension and the motor to each other, and a controller configured to output a control signal for controlling the motor to be connected to one of the first clutch and the second clutch based on a state signal of the vehicle.
Wedge brake control system and method
Aspects of the technology relate to a braking assembly for a lateral propulsion system of a high altitude platform (HAP) configured to operate in the stratosphere. Power is supplied to a propeller assembly as needed during lateral propulsion so that the HAP can move to a desired location or remain on station. When lateral propulsion is not needed, power is no longer supplied to the propeller assembly and it may slowly cease rotating. However, in certain situations, it may be necessary to cause the propeller assembly to stop rotating as soon as possible. This can include an unplanned descent. Rapid braking can avoid the propeller blades from entangling in the envelope, parachute or other parts of the HAP. A reusable brake is employed to prevent uncontrolled rotation of the propeller on descent, or otherwise to prevent the propeller from spinning freely when not being used to propel the HAP laterally.
ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE CONTROL DEVICE
The present invention discloses an electric parking brake control device capable of accurately determining operation of an electric actuator. The electric parking brake control device is capable of performing an application process for controlling the electric actuator to move in the direction in which a friction member is pressed against a rotation body that rotates integrally with a wheel and a release process for controlling the electric actuator to move in the direction in which the friction member is moved away from the rotation body. Even upon receiving (time t12) a new operation request for operating the electric actuator during a period (time t1 to t5) from the start of the application process or the release process to the completion of the process, the electric parking brake control device does not change the operation of the electric actuator on the basis of the operation request.
Cable-coupled by-wire control system
A cable-coupled by-wire control of a vehicle control function traditionally activated by driver manipulation of a pedal is achieved though the agency of a Bowden cable having a first end fastened to the driver pedal, and a second end coupled to a by-wire actuator. The by-wire actuator has a pulley on which the second end of the cable is fastened, an electric motor coupled to the pulley to permit by-wire activation of the vehicle control function by rotation of the pulley in a direction to pull on the pedal with the cable. A relief chamber of the actuator radially outboard of the pulley accommodates slack in the cable within the actuator caused by driver manipulation of the pedal during by-wire activation of the control function.
