The present invention provides a fishing spinning reel including a reel unit and a rotor that is rotatably supported by the reel unit. The reel unit includes: a body that has a side opening portion and in which a spool reciprocating device is housed and supported; a lid that closes the side opening portion; and a cover member mounted on a rear portion of the body. A handle shaft is rotatably supported by the body and the lid. In the rear portion of the body, a rear opening portion for receiving at least a part of a component of the spool reciprocating device and disposing the component on the rear side is formed. The cover member covers the rear opening portion and the component.

A line roller for guiding fishing line to a spool of a spinning reel for fishing, includes a cylindrical guide member having a guide surface to guide the fishing line on an outer periphery of the spool, a bearing rotatably supporting an inner circumferential surface of the guide member, a support member supporting an inner circumferential surface of the bearing in a radial direction, a collar abutting an axial side surface of the bearing and fixing the axial position thereof, a waterproof member interposed between the collar and the support member at a contacting surface over the circumference around an axis of rotation of the guide member, and a groove disposed in the collar or the support member at the contacting surface over the entire circumference around the axis of rotation, and the waterproof member being disposed in the groove.

One object is to provide a fishing spinning reel in which the seal member is safe from the outside air and the external load and the interior of the reel unit remains satisfactorily waterproof and dustproof for a long period. Provided is a fishing spinning reel including: a body constituting a reel unit and a cover member closing a rear opening portion formed in a rear portion of the body. The body has a fitting portion formed on a peripheral edge portion of the rear opening portion, the fitting portion having a tubular wall shape extending toward an inner portion of the cover member and fitted in the inner portion of the cover member. Entry of dust and water between a side opening portion and a lid member is prevented and tangling of a fishing line is avoided. A fishing spinning reel includes a lid member closing a side opening portion provided in a body and a handle shaft is rotatably supported by at least the lid member. A female screw portion is provided on the side opening portion, and a male screw portion is provided on the lid member. There are provided a drive gear, a pinion gear meshed with the drive gear, a front bearing rotatably supporting a front portion of the pinion gear, and a rear bearing rotatably supporting a rear portion thereof.

A rotation transmission mechanism includes a drive shaft, a drive gear, a pinion gear, a first bearing, and a positioning structure. The drive shaft is rotatable with respect to a chassis. The drive gear is unitarily rotatable with the drive shaft. The pinion gear is rotatably mounted to the chassis and disposed in a skew direction to the drive shaft, the pinion gear meshed with the drive gear. The first bearing is mounted to the chassis, is disposed between the chassis and the drive shaft, and rotatably supports the drive shaft. The positioning structure is mounted to an end of the drive shaft, and positions the drive shaft with respect to the first bearing.
