Engine speed secondary anti-windup PID controller for an automotive productivity manager
A method for maintaining an engine speed of an engine of a work vehicle includes sending a requested parameter indicative of the engine speed to an engine controller of the work vehicle. The method also includes receiving a measured parameter indicative of the engine speed. The method further includes determining whether the requested parameter is different from the measured parameter. The method also includes setting a controller-requested parameter indicative of the engine speed based at least in part on the requested parameter and the measured parameter. The method further includes sending the controller-requested parameter to the engine controller. The method accounts for speed and torque saturation in order to avoid windup in the controller.
DRIVER ASSISTANCE DEVICE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE, AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE
A driver assistance device for a motor vehicle with a drive assembly, which can be connected to a drivetrain via a clutch that can be activated by an actuator. The clutch being a component of an electronically controlled clutch system, in which a clutch pedal sensor detects an actuation of a clutch pedal on the driver's side and in which an analysis unit determines, in a first control mode on the basis of the detected clutch pedal actuation, a clutch torque and actuates the clutch with a corresponding clutch signal. For an adjustment of the clutch response on the driver's side, the analysis unit is associated with an input unit, for the actuation of which, on the driver's side, it is possible to shift between the first control mode and at least one second control mode.
System and method for controlling the engagement of a PTO clutch for a work vehicle
A method for controlling the engagement of a power take-off (PTO) clutch of a work vehicle may generally include implementing one or more recovery actions to prevent the clutch from being damaged and/or to prevent the vehicle's engine from stalling. For instance, an energy-related recovery action may be implemented when an estimated clutch energy transmitted through the PTO clutch is greater than or equal to a maximum allowable clutch energy associated with the clutch. In addition, or as an alternative thereto, a stall-related recovery action may be implemented when the engine speed is less than or equal to a predetermined engine stall speed and the speed deceleration rate for the engine is greater than or equal to a predetermined deceleration rate threshold.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING ENGINE CLUTCH ENGAGEMENT DURING TCS OPERATION OF HYBRID VEHICLE
A system and method of controlling engine clutch engagement during TCS operation of a hybrid vehicle are provided. The method includes determining whether a TCS is operating and upon determining that the TCS is operating, determining a compensation value for early engagement of an engine clutch during the TCS operation based on a difference between a front wheel speed and a rear wheel speed and a slip amount of front wheels. Additionally, the method includes determining whether engagement of the engine clutch is capable of being started based on the compensation value and starting the engine clutch engagement. Since the engagement of the engine clutch is controlled based on the speed of non-drive wheels during TCS operation, the engagement stability of the engine clutch is improved and the amount of time required to engage the engine clutch is decreased.
VEHICLE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A controller causes a clutch to transition from a half-engaged state to an engaged state when a difference in rotational velocity between input and output sides of the clutch falls within a predetermined range in the half-engaged state of the clutch. The controller executes a moving start control to increase an output rotational velocity of a prime mover and cause the clutch to transition to the engaged state when a predetermined first condition is satisfied in the half-engaged state of the clutch.
AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTIVITY MANAGER FOR POWER SHIFT TRANSMISSIONS
A system includes an engine, a transmission driven by the engine, and a controller. The controller is configured to receive a speed input, receive feedback indicative of a load of the engine at a current engine speed, compare the load to a predetermined load threshold at the current engine speed, determine an expected engine speed based at least on the current engine speed, a current gear ratio, and an expected gear ratio, determine an estimated engine power at the expected engine speed and a current engine power at the current engine speed, and command a gear downshift when the load is greater than or equal to the predetermined load threshold and when the estimated engine power is greater than the current engine power.
Supervisory Control System to Select PTO Clutch Engagement Method Based on Real-Time Inertial Load Estimation
A method for controlling power takeoff (PTO) clutch engagement includes determining an output clutch speed, adjusting a clutch current at a predetermined rate, estimating an inertial load of a PTO implement and adjusting the clutch current for one or more times at a time interval, and selecting a clutch control algorithm configured for the inertial load of the PTO implement.
SELF-ADJUSTING PTO CLUTCH ENGAGEMENT METHOD BASED ON REAL-TIME INERTIAL LOAD ESTIMATION
A method for controlling PTO clutch engagement includes determining a first change in clutch speed based on an inertial load of a PTO implement. The method also includes determining a second change in clutch speed based on a threshold amount of energy of a PTO clutch. The method further includes determining a third change in clutch speed between the first change in clutch speed and the second change in clutch speed. The method also includes adjusting a clutch current based on the third change in clutch speed.
