Spool brake device
The spool brake device is equipped with a brake unit, a detector, and a controller. The controller controls the braking force by the brake unit based on the variation of the rotational speed of the spool detected by the detection unit. When the rotational speed is increasing, the controller controls the braking force by the brake unit in the regular braking mode. In the regular braking mode, the controller changes the braking force by the brake unit according to the rotational speed of the spool. In addition to it, when the rotational speed of the spool stops, the controller is to control the braking force by the brake unit in the first braking mode, during a period of predetermined time. In the first braking mode, the controller makes a braking force by the brake unit that is less than the braking force in the regular braking mode. In addition, after the predetermined time, the controller may make a braking force in a second braking mode by the braking unit that is less than the braking force in the first braking mode.
Dual-bearing reel
A dual-bearing reel includes a brake that brakes a spool, and a mode selector that selects a braking mode according to a rotational position of an operating element. The operating element is supported by a support shaft, which is biased toward one side, from a center of a major axis of a projection of the operating element in the axial direction of the spool, so as to be turnable about a position separated from a center of an external portion on the side having an opening for attaching/detaching the spool. The angular range of the rotational position of the operating element is 90 or less on each side of a line connecting the support shaft and the center of the external portion, starting from a position in which a line extending from the support shaft toward the center of the major axis opposes the center of the external portion.
BRAKING DEVICE FOR DUAL-BEARING REEL
A braking device for a dual-bearing reel for braking a spool rotatably mounted on a reel body, includes a spool brake and a spool controller. The spool brake is configured to brake the spool by electromagnetic induction during casting of a fishing line. The spool controller is configured to control a braking force of the spool brake by controlling an ON/OF-state of current that is generated due to the electromagnetic induction at a prescribed period. The spool controller has a period changer configured to change the prescribed period for braking the spool.
Fishing reel
Provided is a fishing reel having a magnet disposed in a circumferential direction crossing the axial direction of a spool and, more particularly, a fishing reel that can increase a braking force control range even without an increase in size and can maximize a casting distance by preventing backlash and preventing reduction of a casting distance due to a braking force by using a magnet brake. The fishing reel includes a spool having a drum on which a fishing line is wound, and a magnet brake including a holder disposed on a side of the spool and a magnet mounted on the holder in a circumferential direction crossing an axial direction of the spool to have inner and outer facing surfaces and generating a braking force to the spool.
FISHING REEL MOTOR BRAKE
In A fishing reel including a housing, a shaft supported in the housing and configured to rotate relative to the housing around a shaft axis extended in a longitudinal direction of the shaft, and a spool fixed with the shaft to rotate with the shaft around the shaft axis for winding and unwinding a fishing line. The fishing reel also includes a stator fixed with the housing, where the spool is configured to rotate with the shaft relative to the stator and the housing, a stator magnet that is an electromagnet fixed with the stator, a rotor including a first rotor plate fixed with the shaft to rotate with the shaft around the shaft axis, and a first rotor magnet fixed with the first rotor plate. The stator magnet is configured to receive an electrical current and generate a magnetic field from the stator to the first rotor magnet.
BRAKING APPARATUS FOR DUAL-BEARING REEL
A braking device for a spool that is rotatably supported by a reel body includes a spool braking device, a rotational speed detector, and an electronic controller. The spool braking device is configured to brake a spool in an electrically controllable manner. The rotational speed detector is configured to detect a rotational speed of the spool. The electronic controller is configured to control the spool braking device to brake the spool with a first braking force for a first predetermined period of time, and control the spool braking device to brake the spool with a second braking force that is based on a change in the rotational speed after the first predetermined period of time has elapsed.
Baitcast reel spool having replaceable plate
Provided is a baitcast reel spool that provides a rotational braking force against a spool using a braking magnet to prevent backlash of the spool in casting, more particularly, to a baitcast reel spool having a replaceable plate, of which the plate that is attracted by a braking magnet can be easily, firmly, and safely attached to a side of the spool and can be easily detached so that a user can tune the reel by replacing the plate in accordance with his/her taste and necessity.
Fishing reel
A fishing reel configured to forwardly release a fishing line includes a reel unit, a spool rotatably supported by the reel unit, an electric power generator that generates an electric power upon a rotation of the spool, an electric component including a controller, an overvoltage protection circuit, and a bypass circuit. The controller operates using the electric power generated by the electric power generator. The overvoltage protection circuit is electrically connected to the electric power generator and the electric component, the overvoltage protection circuit limits a voltage of the electric power output from the electric power generator to a predetermined magnitude. The bypass circuit supplies the electric power generated by the electric power generator to the electric component by bypassing the overvoltage protection circuit upon a determination that the voltage of the electric power generated by the electric power is less than or equal to a predetermined value.
