Stiffness adjustment device

The invention relates to the field of furnishing. In particular, the invention relates to a stiffness adjustment device movable between an interference position for imposing a restriction on the deformation of a seat, back or bedding spring, and a non-interference position for releasing the spring from the restriction. The stiffness adjustment device comprises a resilient element, e.g. such as a flexible blade and, as it moves between the interference and non-interference positions it passes through an intermediate position in which the resilient element is subjected to resilient bending that is greater than in the interference and non-interference positions.

Elastic mechanism

In the spring mechanism, the negative spring mechanism biasing the loading plate to the positive side in the z-direction has the spring shaft and interspring. The spring shaft is rotatably connected to the fixed part and is connected through the slider with respect to the loading plate so that it can rotate and can move in the x-direction. The connection part with the loading plate is positioned on the positive side in the z-direction and on the positive side in the x-direction relative to the connection part with the fixed part. An elastic force countering the compression is generated by the spring shaft. The interspring is connected to the loading plate and is connected through the slider to the spring shaft. It generates an elastic force countering the displacement to the positive side in the x-direction of the connection part of the spring shaft with the loading plate.

A spring device for spring-mounting a laundry drum of a washing machine has at least one spring means and coupling means for coupling the spring means to the spring device. The spring means has a spring constant or spring properties which are temperature-dependent and can be varied by a temperature effect on the spring means. As an alternative or in addition, the coupling means are designed in a temperature-dependent manner in such a way that they vary their coupling effect between the spring means and the spring device by a temperature effect. Heating means are provided for the spring means and/or for the coupling means in order to warm up the said spring means and/or coupling means and to change their spring properties or their coupling effect. Therefore, the spring-mounting arrangement of the laundry drum can be thermally, and therefore quickly and simply, varied.

The present disclosure relates to internal combustion engines. Various embodiments may include a fuel injection system for delivering fuel to an internal combustion engine. For example, fuel injector may include a valve body having a cavity; a valve needle with a retainer moving in the cavity; an actuator assembly comprising: a spring element next to the valve needle; an electro-magnetic coil; an armature element movable in the cavity; and an anti-bounce device. The armature element may be between the retainer portion of the valve needle and the anti-bounce device. The anti-bounce device may impose a spring force and a hydraulic force for dampening a movement of the armature element. The anti-bounce device may comprise a spring portion exerting the spring force to close the valve needle and a hydraulic damper portion integrally connected to the spring portion.
