Coil springs with non-linear loading responses and mattresses including the same
A spring is provided that exhibits a variable and non-linear loading response upon compression. The spring comprises a continuous wire having a lower end convolution, an upper end convolution, and a plurality of helical intermediate convolutions. The upper end convolution, the lower end convolution, and the helical intermediate convolutions each have a respective diameter, with the continuous wire further defining a pitch between the various convolutions. In the spring, one or more of the diameters of the convolutions or one or more of the pitches varies along the length of the continuous wire such that the spring exhibits a non-linear loading response upon compression. A mattress is further provided and includes a plurality of the springs arranged in a matrix.
SPOOL VALVE UNIT AND VALVE DEVICE
A spool valve unit includes a sleeve member having a high-pressure port and a low-pressure port, a spool member movably accommodated in the sleeve member in an axial direction, and a spring member for biasing the spool member in a first axial direction. The spool valve unit produces an intermediate fluid pressure to be outputted to an outside of the spool valve unit, when electromagnetic force is applied to the spool member so that the spool member is moved at a high speed between the high-pressure port and the low-pressure port. The spring member is composed of a non-linear spring, a biasing force of which is non-linearly changed with respect to a displacement of the spool member.
Vibration reduction damper and jet engine
A vibration reduction damper is disposed inside a center vent tube having vent holes which pass therethrough in the radial direction, and has a sliding portion which comes slidably into contact with the inner wall surface of the center vent tube while avoiding the region in which the vent holes are formed.
Compact balance spring of constant section
The invention relates to a one-piece balance spring comprising a single strip wound on itself between an inner coil and an outer coil, the strip having a geometry such that when the angle of contraction of the balance spring has a value of 360 degrees, there is a constant distance between each coil from the inner coil to the penultimate coil.
TELESCOPING CONTROLLED FORCE SPRING
A spring comprises a continuous wire member formed into a plurality of coils along a central axis. Each of the plurality of coils comprises a plurality of straight portions extending between bend portions each extending from one of the straight portions. The plurality of coils form a first spring body and a second spring body, each spring body comprising at least three coils and having a first end and a second end with the first end of the second spring body connected to the second end of the first spring body. In an unloaded state the first spring body has a first unique pitch distance between bend portions of each pair of adjacent coils and the first unique pitch distance decreases from the first end of the first spring body to the second end of the first spring body, and the second spring body has a second unique pitch distance between bend portions of each pair of adjacent coils and the second unique pitch distance increases from the first end of the second spring body to the second end of the second spring body.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MANUFACTURING ARC-SHAPED COIL SPRING
The present invention is provided focusing on a servo press configured to enable high-speed/high-accuracy operation by numeric value control in the method for manufacturing an arc-shaped coil spring. The present invention provides a manufacturing method and a manufacturing device configured so that the curvature of the arc-shaped coil spring can be freely ensured. The manufacturing method includes the clamp step of fixing a straight cylindrical coil spring, the end portion detection step of detecting an end portion, a rotation angle position determination step, a pitch feeding step, a pressing member insertion step, and an insertion direction conversion step. The manufacturing method and the manufacturing device relate to the technology of continuously repeating the operation of pushing down a pressing member to an inter-pitch from above, thereby deforming the straight cylindrical coil spring into the coil spring with the curvature.
MAGAZINE COUPLER
The present disclosure provides apparatus for coupling an item to another item. The apparatus comprises a coupler mounted on the item and comprising a mating face having a plurality of catches thereon, the plurality of catches comprising at least one complementary pair of catches positioned and shaped to be engaged with corresponding catches of another coupler having an identical mating face when mating faces of two couplers are facewise engaged with and rotated relative to each other to align with each other. The coupler may be implemented as a floor plate of a magazine, as a clip, or in other forms.
SUSPENSION SYSTEM FOR STROLLER
A child stroller includes a frame member and a wheel attachment member including a first end and a second end. A wheel is coupled to the first end, with the second end coupled to the frame member. The stroller further includes a shock absorber having a body, an upper end coupled to the frame member, a lower end coupled to the wheel attachment member, and a spring mechanism disposed within the body. The spring mechanism includes an upper portion exhibiting a first spring constant, and a lower portion exhibiting a second spring constant different from the first spring constant.
Laundry treatment apparatus
A laundry treatment apparatus according to the present invention includes a casing; an outer tub suspended in the casing; a rack extending vertically; a pinion, which is moved along the rack when the outer tub vibrates and which is rotated via cooperation with the rack; and a torsion element for creating a torsional twisting moment to attenuate rotation of the pinion when the pinion is rotated.
Check Valve, High-Pressure Component, and High-Pressure Fuel Pump
Various embodiments include a check valve for a high-pressure component in a fuel injection system comprising: a valve housing with a valve hole having an inner diameter; a valve seat and a sealing element arranged in the valve hole; and a coil spring pushing the sealing element toward the valve seat along a longitudinal axis of the valve hole. The coil spring includes a plurality of coil turns each having an outer diameter. In a non-assembled state of the check valve, the outer diameter of at least one of the coil turns is greater than the inner diameter of at least a portion of the valve hole, so that in an assembled state of the check valve, the coil spring is secured in a force-fitting manner in the valve hole.
