System and Method for Attaching Fishing Reel to Fishing Rod and Selectively Positioning the Reel Along the Axis of the Fishing Rod
Systems and methods are disclosed herein for providing a fishing rod and reel assembly with an easily adjustable rod balance adjustment. The system includes a fishing rod having a handle section. Positioned adjacent to the handle section is a reel seat body section along which a reel seat frame may securely hold a reel at substantially any position along the reel seat body section to achieve the desired rod balance. Also, the system and method include being able to securely mount and hold a reel to the rod at any position along the reel seat body to achieve any desired balance point location. Thus, a fisher may change reels, spools, line weights, bait, lures or the like and quickly rebalance the rod and reel assembly for an optimal fishing experience.
REEL SEAT
A reel seat comprises a seat main body that comprises a reel leg placing portion to which a reel leg is placed and fixed and a tubular portion provided with an opening hole into which a rear end portion of a rod is fitted and fixed, and a grip is disposed on a rear side of the reel leg placing portion. The opening hole is formed so the rod to be fitted and fixed is offset downward relative to an axial center X of the grip, is formed further on a lower side than the reel leg placing portion, and is formed so that a rear end edge of the rod is located further on a rear side than a front end of a reel leg in a state where the reel leg of a fishing reel is placed and fixed to the reel leg placing portion.
REEL SEAT AND FISHING ROD
Provided is a reel seat including a cylindrical reel seat main body including a reel foot mounting part 5 for mounting a reel foot 101 of a dual-bearing reel 100. The reel seat has a configuration in which a rod main body 1 passes through the reel seat main body. A support wall 61 supports a palm of a hand during palming. The support wall 61 protrudes upward from a palming side of the reel seat main body at behind a paling side of left and right sides of the dual-bearing reel 100. A rear-side inclined surface 63 of the support wall 61 abuts against the palm thenar of the hand during palming.
Harmonically tuned fishing rod for distance casting and method of manufacture thereof
A fishing pole including a handle and a seat that is integrated with the handle and structured to engage a line reel supporting a fishing line disposed about a spool of the line reel. The fishing pole further includes a flexible rod connecting to the handle and extending axially along an elongate axis. The flexible rod is structured to cast a fishing line a distance from the spool of the line reel. The flexible rod further includes at least two node locations. A plurality of rod guides are aligned with each of the at least two node locations and are operative to mitigate mechanical interaction with, and frictional drag on, the fishing line as it passes through each of the rod guides.
HARMONICALLY TUNED FISHING ROD FOR DISTANCE CASTING AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF
A method for fabricating a fishing rod which optimally locates the line guides of the rod for improved distance casting. The method includes the steps of: (i) inducing a vibratory force transversely of the elongate axis to identify node locations associated with one or more rod harmonics along the length of the rod; and (ii) placing guides at each node location for receiving fishing line. The node positions minimize the relative motion of the line guides relative to the fishing line when casting to minimize line drag while maximizing rod damping.
Universal fishing reel
Provided is a universal fishing reel in which an intermediate frame body is configured such that a third mounting portion for a spool of the frame body has a body surrounder covering the outer sides of both large-diameter portions having different sizes of spool bodies for winding a line to universally receive all different kinds of spools and the body surrounder has an inner diameter corresponding to the minimum large-diameter portions of different kinds of spools, or a first intermediate or second intermediate cover is configured such that a cover surrounder has an inner diameter corresponding to the minimum large-diameter portions of different kinds of spools when a gear-side first side cover or a palm-side second side cover has the cover surrounder covering the outer side of both large-diameter portions of a spool body.
Spinning reel for fishing
A spinning reel for fishing includes: a rotor including a cylindrical portion and a pair of support arms; a spool including a bobbin trunk, a front flange and a rear flange disposed on front and rear ends of the bobbin trunk respectively; and a line safety guard configured to prevent entry of a fishing line into the spool. The line safety guard has a base end portion, connecting frames proximally extending radially outward from the base end portion, and an annular portion consecutively connected to the distal ends of the connecting frames. The annular portion has an outer peripheral surface that is disposed to face an inner peripheral surface of the rear flange, and a gap is open between the inner peripheral surface of the rear flange and the outer periphery of the annular portion, in an axial direction.
Fishing line rinse apparatus
A fishing line rinse apparatus having a bucket with a drain spout. A perforated spool with a level wind is disposed on a shaft with a first quick-connector. A drive housing has a base with a pair of pulleys, and a hollow vertical column. A drive disposed within the hollow vertical column of the drive housing has a horizontal drive shaft, a differential, and a vertical drive shaft, wherein the horizontal drive shaft has a second quick-connector that engages the first quick-connector. The vertical drive shaft is selectively engageable with a drill, allowing a drill outside the bucket to spin the spool submerged in water in the bucket to wind and unwind the fishing line, thus rinsing the fishing line and transferring it from a rod to the spool and vice versa. A brake with a thumb screw is disposed on the spool to apply pressure while rewinding the line.
Reel seat and fishing rod
The reel seat for mounting a dual-bearing reel on an upper side of a rod main body of a fishing rod extends in a front-rear direction in a plan view of the reel seat. The reel seat includes a reel foot mounting part on the upper side for mounting a reel foot of the dual-bearing reel such that a handle of the dual-bearing reel is located on a first side in a right-left direction in the plan view. The reel seat also includes a support wall for supporting a palm of a hand when palming the reel seat such that the support wall provided on a second side opposite to the first side in the right-left direction, the support wall protruding to the upper side on the second side of the reel seat.
