System and method for automatic pressure management
A pressure management system for a tire assembly on a vehicle including: a housing unit, a pump, and a power interface.
Tire inflation system
A tire inflation system and method for a tire supported by a wheel, the tire inflation system including a pump system including a pump cavity configured to fluidly connect to the tire, an actuating element configured to actuate relative the pump cavity, a drive mechanism rotatably coupled to the wheel, the drive mechanism including a motion transformer and an eccentric mass, a valve fluidly connecting the pump cavity to a fluid reservoir; and a control system configured to operate the valve.
Hub-mounted active vibration control (HAVC) devices, systems, and methods
Hub-mounted active vibration control (HAVC) devices, systems, and related methods are provided. An HAVC device (100) includes a housing (206) having a tolerance ring (600) attached to a rotary hub (702). The tolerance ring can accommodate dissimilar coefficients of thermal expansion between dissimilar metals. The HAVC device can also include a plurality of coaxial ring motors (308A, 308B, 310A, 310B) configured to rotate a plurality of imbalance masses for controlling vibration. An HAVC system can further include a de-icing distributor (208) for communicating instructions to one or more heating sources (HS) provided at one or more rotary blades (802) of a vehicle or aircraft. A method of controlling vibratory loads occurring at a moving platform can include providing a moving platform, mounting a vibration control device to a portion of the moving platform, and rotating at least one pair of imbalance masses such that the combined forces of the masses substantially cancel unwanted vibration of the platform.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATIC PRESSURE MANAGEMENT
A pressure management system for a tire assembly on a vehicle including: a housing unit, a pump, and a power interface.
Nested inertia ring for torsional vibration damper
A torsional vibration damper with a housing defining an annular space. A cover is mounted on the housing. The cover and the housing define an annular working chamber. A first mass inertia ring is disposed inside and configured to rotated relative to the annular working chamber. A second mass inertia ring is disposed inside the annular working chamber. The second inertia mass ring is configured to rotate inside the annular working chamber independently with respect to the first inertia mass ring. A viscous damping media is disposed inside the annular working chamber. A hub is configured to extend from the housing in an axial direction. The hub is configured for attaching the damper to a crankshaft
Anti-skate device for applying damping torque to an axle
An anti-skate device for a drive axle of a motor vehicle may include a free-spinning body having an axis of rotation that is generally perpendicular to the drive axle of the vehicle. The free-spinning body may be coupled to the drive axle by a rotational damper.
Pump with water management
A pumping system configured to pump fluid from the ambient environment to a target reservoir, the pumping system including: a fluid pump configured to statically mount to a rotating surface, the pump configured to rotate about an axis of rotation; a pump reservoir statically coupled to the fluid pump and configured to fluidly couple to the target reservoir, the pump reservoir including a collection area defined along a portion of the pump reservoir radially outward of the axis of rotation; and a liquid separation member arranged along a portion of the collection area, the liquid separation member including a membrane configured to preferentially permit liquid flow therethrough.
Vibration reduction device
A vibration reduction device includes a support plate, one side mass positioned at an edge of one side surface of the support plate, the other side mass disposed to be opposite to one side mass and positioned at an edge of the other side surface of the support plate, and an impact absorbing member coupled to the support plate and configured to come into contact with one side mass or the other side mass.
Engine-generator set
A engine-generator set includes a generator for producing electricity and an engine that is coupled via flexible coupling to a shaft of the generator for driving the generator, the engine being supported against a support surface by a plurality of resilient mounting elements, and the generator being supported against a support surface by a plurality of resilient mounting elements separately from the engine, wherein the engine is mechanically connected to the generator solely via the flexible coupling.
