Squeeze Film Damper Acoustic Isolation
A machine has a first member; a second member; a third member; a bearing having an inner race mounted to the second member and an outer race mounted to the third member; a damper chamber between the first member and the third member; a fluid outlet in the first member to the damper chamber; a fluid supply flowpath to the fluid outlet; and an unvented chamber open to and locally above the fluid supply flowpath.
Torsional Vibration Damper or Torsional Tuned Mass Damper
A torsional vibration damper or torsional tuned mass damper having a rotating system having a primary mass, which is arranged, or preferably fixable for conjoint rotation on a rotatable shaft, such as a crankshaft of a motor, for example, in particular an internal combustion engine, and having a secondary mass, which is movable relative to the primary mass. An assembly for vibration dampening and/or tuned vibration dampening of the relative motion between the primary mass and the secondary mass is formed in part outside of the rotating system of the torsional vibration damper or torsional tuned mass damper.
Liquid damper system
A liquid damper system for restraining vibrations generated in a rotating body includes: a liquid damper which is coaxially rotatable with the rotating body and includes a collision member, the collision member being provided in a casing in which liquid is enclosed and the liquid colliding with the collision member when moving in the circumferential direction; and a relative rotation unit configured to cause the liquid damper to rotate relative to the rotating body. Vibrations of a rotating body are effectively suppressed when a rotating body steadily rotates at a main resonance frequency, in the liquid damper system.
Integrated 3D-Prototyped Online Dynamic Balance Terminal
An integrated online dynamic balance terminal by 3D rapid prototyping includes a central tapered hole formed at a lower portion thereof, a plurality of identical balance cavities peripherally and spacedly formed on the integrated online dynamic balance terminal. Each two the adjacent balance cavities are separated by a cavity partition. The integrated online dynamic balance terminal further has a plurality of guiding channels indently formed on an inner peripheral surface thereof, wherein each of the four guiding channels communicates with a corresponding balance cavity through a corresponding trapezoidal hole. The integrated online dynamic balance terminal has a plurality of bored holes spacedly formed on an engagement surface. The integrated online dynamic balance terminal is configured from 3D rapid prototyping so as to form an integral one-piece structure, wherein some portions requiring high precision are arranged to undergo additional machining processes.
RACK AND PINION DAMPER
A rack and pinion damper provides controllable rotary motion of a pinion by actuating a rack inside a fluid disposed within a housing. The rack includes one or two cylindrical heads which further include flow-control mechanisms. Two plugs maybe threaded into the ends of the rack sections of the housing to limit a maximum clockwise rotation and a maximum counterclockwise rotation of the pinion. The pinion maybe coupled with an external unit, such as a torque tube, to control its rotational motion.
Torsional vibration damping assembly for a drive train of a vehicle
A torsional vibration damping arrangement for a drivetrain of a vehicle comprises a rotational mass arrangement which is rotatable around a rotational axis A and a damping arrangement fixed with respect to rotation relative to the rotational axis A. A displacer unit is operatively connected to the primary inertia element on the one side and to the secondary inertia element on the other side. The damping arrangement includes a slave cylinder with a working chamber having a volume V2, and the working chamber of the slave cylinder is operatively connected to the working chamber of the displacer unit. The damping arrangement includes a stiffness arrangement and a damper mass, and the slave cylinder of the damping arrangement is operatively connected to the damper mass by a stiffness arrangement.
Damper Device
A damper device includes: an input shaft member to which a driving force from a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine is input, the input shaft member including a flange portion of the crankshaft; an output shaft member capable of outputting the driving force transmitted from the input shaft member; an input side cam and an output side cam respectively connected to the input shaft member and the output shaft member; rolling members pivotable on the input side cam; and an urging member urging the output side cam so as to cause it to abut the rolling members, wherein the input side cam has receiving portions recessed so as to receive the rolling members, and supply passages extending through the flange portion and the input side cam has: inlets communicated with an oil sump space; and outlets formed at the receiving portion of the input side cam.
Damping Device for Damping Shaft Vibration
A damping device that includes features for damping bending vibration of a shaft rotating about its axis of rotation and methods for damping bending vibration utilizing the damping device are provided. In one exemplary aspect, the damping device includes a damping disc operatively coupled with a shaft, e.g., of a turbine engine or shaft system. The damping disc is at least partially received within a chamber defined by a housing. The chamber of the housing is configured to receive a damping fluid. When the shaft is rotated about its axis of rotation, the damping disc is movable within the chamber to move the damping fluid such that the damping fluid absorbs bending vibration emitted by the shaft. The damping fluid moved by the damping disc dampens bending vibration emitted by the shaft.
