Rubber-reinforcing cord and rubber product including same
A rubber-reinforcing cord (12) of the present invention includes at least one strand. The strand includes at least one filament bundle and a coating provided to cover at least a portion of a surface of the filament bundle. The coating includes a rubber component including at least one selected from the group consisting of carboxyl-modified nitrile rubber and carboxyl-modified hydrogenated nitrile rubber, an isocyanate compound, a bismaleimide compound, carbon black, and a rubber-modified epoxy resin. In the coating, the content of the isocyanate compound is 10 to 50 parts by mass, the content of the bismaleimide compound is 5 to 25 parts by mass, the content of the carbon black is 2 to 18 parts by mass, and the content of the rubber-modified epoxy resin is 5 to 30 parts by mass, with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component.
Urethane adhesive cord treatment for power transmission belt and belt
A belt with a tensile cord embedded in an elastomeric body, having an adhesive composition impregnating the cord and coating the fibers. The adhesive composition is the reaction product of a polyisocyanate and a polyol, or a polyurethane prepolymer derived therefrom, and a polyamine curative and optionally additional polyol, and with optionally added plasticizer. At least one of the polyisocyanate, the prepolymer, and the polyamine are blocked with a blocking agent. The belt body may be of cast polyurethane, vulcanized rubber, or thermoplastic elastomer. The cord may have an adhesive overcoat.

A pulley belt (100) for transmitting force from a first pulley (12) to a second pulley (14) includes a belt member (110) having a contact surface (120) configured to be in contact with the first pulley (12) and the second pulley (14). A plurality of projections (122) extends from the contact surface (120). The projections have a predetermined height/diameter aspect ratio. In a method of making a pulley belt, an uncured elastomer (316) is placed in a mold (310) having a shape of a belt member (320) with an inner surface from which patterned projections (312) extend inwardly. The uncured elastomer is cured to form a cured belt member (320), which is removed from the mold (310).
Drive Belt with Surface Texture for Minimizing Vibrations
A pulley belt (100) for transmitting force from a first pulley (12) to a second pulley (14) includes a belt member (110) having a contact surface (120) configured to be in contact with the first pulley (12) and the second pulley (14). A plurality of projections (122) extends from the contact surface (120). The projections have a predetermined height/diameter aspect ratio. In a method of making a pulley belt, an uncured elastomer (316) is placed in a mold (310) having a shape of a belt member (320) with an inner surface from which patterned projections (312) extend inwardly. The uncured elastomer is cured to form a cured belt member (320), which is removed from the mold (310).
Bearing, traction or drive element made of an elastomer material having embedded electronic components
A band or belt designed as an elongate bearing, traction or drive element running around rollers or pulleys and made of an elastomer material, and preferably provided with embedded reinforcing elements or tension members extending in the longitudinal direction of the band or belt, having the following features: the band or the belt has one or more elongate tubular receptacles embedded in the elastomer material, in the cavity of which electronic components are arranged, preferably sensors, signal processing or control devices and/or transmission devices, the tubular receptacles are embedded in the elastomer material in such a way that their longitudinal axis or the direction of their greatest extent is oriented substantially transversely to the main bending direction of the band or belt.
Helically toothed belt power transmitting device
This helically toothed belt power transmitting device (1) has: a toothed belt (10) having a plurality of teeth (12) tilted relative to the width direction of the belt; a drive pulley; and a driven pulley. The width of the helically toothed belt (10) is 1 mm to 20 mm, inclusive. The core (13) of the toothed belt (10) is a twisted cord containing high-strength glass fibers or carbon fibers and has a diameter of 0.2 mm to 0.9 mm, inclusive. The compressibility of the teeth (12) of the toothed belt (10) compressed by the grooves of the drive pulley and the driven pulley is 0% to 5%, inclusive.
Belt with layered load bearing elements
A load bearing tension member for an elevator system includes a plurality of tension elements arrayed across a tension member width. The tension elements are offset from a tension member central axis, the central axis bisecting a tension member thickness and extending across the tension member width. The tension elements include a plurality of fibers extending along a length of the tension element, and a matrix material in which the plurality of fibers are embedded. A jacket at least partially encapsulates the plurality of tension elements.

A conveyor belt, power transmission belt or machine tape (1) being open-ended with two ending edges (6, 7) and with a longitudinal length (L) in a longitudinal direction, comprising: a) two parallel lateral edges (la, lb) running in said longitudinal direction, and being spaced apart from each other by a transversal width (W); b) a first textile layer (2); c) a first coating layer (3); and optionally d) one more through holes (5) perforating the belt through its overall thickness (T), each of these through holes (5) being formed by a hole edge (5a); characterized in that i) the first textile layer (2) comprises fibres or filaments of a thermoplastic and/or the first coating layer (3) comprises a thermoplastic or thermoplastic elastomer; and ii) the lateral edges (la, lb) are ultrasound-cut or laser-cut and/or the optional hole edge(s) (5a) is(are) laser-cut. The belt or tape has melt-sealed edges, can be made endless by conventional end-joining and can be used in fluff-generating environments, such as a spindle tape.
