A directional lock or a headgear or interface assembly comprising one or more directional locks that include a catch arrangement for initiating or assisting in movement of a lock member of the direction lock. In some configurations, the catch arrangement assists movement of the lock member in only a portion of a range of travel of the lock member. In some configurations, the directional lock comprises a housing and a sleeve and the catch arrangement comprises a catch arm carried by the sleeve. The catch arm includes a catch end that contacts the lock member, which can be a lock washer in some configurations.

Cable lockout device

A cable lockout device includes a housing receiving a cable in which the cable forms a loop external to the housing. The housing has a passageway extending therethrough through which the cable extends and has a cable gripping location positioned along the passageway. The cable lockout device further includes a locking arm rotationally coupled to the housing that actuates a cleat or cam spaced from the axis of the locking arm, which cleat or cam can be brought towards another cleat or cam in the cable gripping location (upon closure) or away from the other cleat or cam (upon opening). In a closed position of the locking arm, the locking arm is lockable relative to the body to prevent movement of the locking arm back to the opened position without first unlocking the locking arm relative to the body.

Clamping cable lockout

A clamping cable lockout device includes a pair of clamp jaws that are supported by a body and an arm movable relative thereto. A jaw release permits a one-way ratcheting of the arm relative to the body to reduce the distance between the jaws unless the jaw release is actuated to a release position. The device also has a cable having an end secured to the body and a free end. A cable securing mechanism is supported by the body and has a lockable cover selectively permitting access thereto such that, when the cable securing mechanism receives the free end of the cable and the cover is closed, a closed loop by the cable which can only be made smaller. The lockable cover has a blocking arm that, when lockable cover is in the closed position, prevents actuation of the jaw release to the release position.

CORD LOCK

A cord lock includes a female member having a first opening, a second opening, an insertion path for a string therebetween, and female-side fastening portions formed in the insertion path, a male member having one portion entering into the insertion path from a side of the first opening, and male-side fastening portions at the one portion adapted to be fastened to the string inserted to pass through the insertion path in cooperation with the female-side fastening portions, and a spring member interposed between the female member and the male member. The fastening relative to the string is released by a pulling operation of reducing an entering amount of the one portion of the male member into the insertion path. A first contact portion of the spring member is integrally formed with the female member, and a second contact portion of the spring member is integrally formed with the male member.

Rope tension device and method thereof
10221918 · 2019-03-05 ·

Embodiments of a rope tension device for cinching a load with a rope are disclosed. The rope tension device includes a frame and brake member. The frame includes a first rail and a second rail with a bracing structure extending between the first rail and the second rail such that the bracing structure defines an arcuate surface. The brake member is pivotably coupled to the frame. Further, the brake member defines a brake surface such that the brake surface is biased with a spring member toward the arcuate surface, the brake surface defining an axially extending concave feature that faces the arcuate surface of the bracing structure. With this arrangement, a gap defined between the arcuate surface and the axially extending concave feature varies in height along an axial width defined between the first and second rails so as to receive the rope within the gap for cinching the load.

The rope tightening and fastening device of the invention is a flat, elongated device having at one end a forward-opening, V-shaped mouth including opposing surfaces and at the other end a rear-facing back edge with a knob extending rearward therefrom. Rear and cinching apertures are disposed between the mouth and knob, the rear aperture having a forward-facing engagement surface and the cinching aperture having a rear-facing engagement surface, the forward-facing engagement surface configured to engage the beginning of one leg of a rear loop of rope that is passed through the rear aperture and fastened around the knob, the rear-facing engagement surface configured to engage the end of a return leg of a forward loop of rope extending from the rear aperture, and the opposing surfaces of the mouth having gripping members for securing a portion of rope under tension in the mouth.

ADJUSTABLE BUNGEE FASTENER
20190032752 · 2019-01-31 ·

The bungee fastener has a tapered chute that accepts a locking slider. A channel forms an opening in a side of the body thereby allowing passage of the slider through the channel. A plurality of slider teeth along a portion of the slider within the tapered chute may lock onto a bungee when the slider is slid into a locked position. The slider moves along the channel, thereby selectively narrowing the tapered chute with the slider teeth as the slider is slid into the locked position and enlarging the tapered chute as the slider is slid into the unlocked position. The bungee fastener may include a single slider or a plurality of sliders.
