Clamping members and clamping devices
09534660 · 2017-01-03 · ·

A clamping arrangement which includes an elongate member having a plurality of strands wound around one another in a plurality of turns of each strand. The clamping arrangement further includes a clamping device which includes a clamping member for clamping the elongate member. The clamping member has an engaging means for engaging the elongate member. The engaging means is configured to engage half or more of the total number of strands forming the elongate member. The clamping device further includes a fixed reaction member, and urging means to urge the clamping member towards the reaction member. When the elongate member is received between the clamping member and the reaction member, the reaction member provides a reaction against the elongate member to clamp the elongate member in the clamping device.

A directional lock or a headgear or interface assembly comprising one or more directional locks that include a catch arrangement for initiating or assisting in movement of a lock member of the direction lock. In some configurations, the catch arrangement assists movement of the lock member in only a portion of a range of travel of the lock member. In some configurations, the directional lock has a housing and a sleeve and the catch arrangement has a catch arm carried by the sleeve. The catch arm includes a catch end that contacts the lock member, which can be a lock washer in some configurations.

Locking device for marine anti-collision ball traction rope

The present invention discloses a locking device for a marine anti-collision ball traction rope, comprising a lock body, a rope hole, a lock cavity, a lock head and a rope guide hole. The present invention has a simple structure. By enabling the traction rope to pass through the rope hole, enabling the rope to bypass the rail and pass through the rope guide hole, and enabling the traction rope to pass through the rope locking hole, the traction rope forms a bending. The traction rope exerts a pulling force, so that the lock head swings toward the side wall of the locking cavity and realizes self-locking. The traction rope is firmly stuck on the rope locking tooth claw. The anti-collision ball can be quickly fixed on the rail; the lock head swings toward the opening of the locking cavity, and the traction rope can be pulled for length adjustment.

Drop cable clamp with controlled cable cutting feature

A cable clamp includes a shell having a shell base, a first sidewall and a second sidewall forming a channel extending in a first direction to receive a cable therein. A wedge resides between the first and second sidewalls and includes a wedge base facing the shell base. A shim resides between the wedge base and the shell base, and the cable fits between the shim and the shell base. Movement of the shell relative to the wedge causes the cable to engage more tightly between the shim and the shell base. In one embodiment, a blade element resides between the shim and the shell base. The blade may be a separate element from the shim or attached to or integrally formed with the shim. The wedge may include a recessed area or a cutout portion to accommodate the blade. A cutting edge of the blade element faces toward the cable and will cut the cable in response to an excessive force along the first direction being applied to the cable within the channel.

A cable-type radio frequency identification tag includes a cable clamp having a fixing hole and a through hole. A receiving space for receiving a ratchet gear is provided beside the through hole. A pin hole penetrates through two opposite surfaces of a clamp body. A protecting case harder than the cable clamp is wrapped around the cable clamp and includes a case body and a cover plate. A rivet body is riveted on the case body, a hole of the cover plate, and the pin hole of the cable clamp and has a head portion. A radio frequency identification block fits in a counterbore of the head portion. A cable is fixed in the fixing hole. A free end of the cable penetrates through the through hole to be fixed by the ratchet gear to form a fitting ring.
