An adapter for a cable hanger includes: a housing having a floor, a vertical wall extending generally perpendicularly from the floor, and side walls extending generally perpendicularly from the floor and vertical wall, each of the side walls including a finger extending generally parallel to the floor, the fingers including first engagement features, the vertical wall including a mounting hole; and a plunger having a main panel and second engagement features on opposite sides of the main panel, the second engagement features configured to engage the first engagement features to restrict relative movement of the plunger relative to the housing.

A clamping device (10) for clamping an elongate article (100) is disclosed. The clamping device (10) comprises a body (12) and a clamping arrangement (26) in the body (12). The clamping arrangement (26) comprises a clamping member (28) and an urging member (30) for urging the clamping member (2B) into clamping engagement with the elongate article (100). The body (12) has a reaction formation (56) along which the elongate article (100) can extend. The reaction formation (56) applies a reaction force to the elongate article (100) when so engaged by the clamping member (28). The clamping device (10) further includes a carriage (32) on which the clamping member (28) is provided, and a release member (42) on the carriage (32) for releasing the clamping member (28) from engagement with the elongate article (100). The release member (42) extends outwardly from the body (12).

Gripping device

A gripping device comprises: at least two end walls located at opposing ends of the device; at least one elongate channel for receiving an elongate element, the longitudinal axis of the or each channel extending between the two end walls; a gripping element; and biasing means for bringing the gripping element into engagement with an elongate element located in the said channel. The gripping element is mounted for translational movement in a slot. A force component exerted on an elongate element located in the said channel causes the gripping element to move in the slot at towards the elongate element. Each end wall includes at least one hole therethrough, a first hole for receipt of an elongate element into the said channel and a second hole for exit of said elongate element from said channel.

A quick-disconnect ball and socket joint includes a substantially spherical strain relief node configured to be coupled to an object, such as a cable. The system further comprises an end cap configured to capture the substantially spherical strain relief node, the end cap having a diameter that permits the substantially spherical strain relief node to pass therethrough when the system is in an open position. The system still further comprises a retaining element configured to retain the substantially spherical strain relief node in the end cap. The retaining element is attached to the end cap when the system is in a closed position and the object is prevented from being removed from capture by the end cap. However, in the open position, the retaining element may be removed from capture by the end cap by passing the substantially spherical strain relief node through a diameter of the end cap.

Mooring connector

A connector adapted for release under load from a complementary connector. The connector having a locking element for engagement with the complementary connector to lock the complementary connector to the connector; and a locking member moveable from a locked position to an unlocked position. The locking member operative to permit the/each locking element to lock the complementary connector to the connector when in the locked position and operative to allow the/each locking element to release the complementary connector when in the unlocked position. The locking member and locking element arranged such that when the connector is locked to the complementary connector and the locking member is in a partially unlocked position, a load applied to the/each locking element causes the/each locking element to urge the locking member towards its fully unlocked position, thereby unlocking the complementary connector from the connector.
