Different gears are selectable by selectively actuating the at least four shift elements (A, B, C′, D) and, in addition, in interaction with the electric machine (EM), different operating modes are implementable.
ELECTRIC DRIVE DEVICE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
An electric drive device for a motor vehicle has a housing, a first planetary gearset arranged in the housing and which has a first sun gear as first elements, a first planetary support, and a first gear ring. A second planetary gearset is arranged in the housing and has a second sun gear that is coupled or can be coupled non-rotationally to the first gear ring as second elements and a second planetary support and a second gear ring. The device has an electric motor, which has a stator and a rotor, an input shaft that can be driven by the rotor and is permanently non-rotationally connected to the first sun gear, an output shaft, having a differential transmission, a lateral shaft and having a first switching element, which is provided to connect the first sun gear non-rotationally to the housing. The rotor, the first planetary gearset, the second planetary gearset, and the differential transmission are arranged coaxially to one another. The lateral shaft is arranged between the differential transmission and a wheel of the motor vehicle and penetrates the rotor.
Transmission for a motor vehicle, motor vehicle powertrain, and method for operating a transmission
A transmission (G) for a motor vehicle includes an electric machine (EM1), a first input shaft (GW1), a second input shaft (GW2), an output shaft (GWA), two planetary gear sets (P1, P2, P3), and at least five shift elements (A, B, C, D, E). Different gears are implementable by selectively actuating the at least five shift elements (A, B, C, D, E) and, in addition, in interaction with the electric machine (EM1), different operating modes are implementable. A drive train for a motor vehicle with the transmission (G), and to a method for operating the transmission (G) are also provided.
Multi-speed electric transmission assembly and axle assembly
Methods and systems are provided for an electric axle assembly. In one example, a system includes an electric axle assembly configured to receive an output of a ring gear, wherein a differential of the electric axle assembly distributes the output to wheels of a vehicle.
Gear sytems with variable speed drive
An epicyclic gear system includes an input sun gear configured to receive rotational input from a turbine of a turbo charger. A first set of planet gears is distributed around and meshes with the input sun gear. A carrier holds the first set of planet gears and defines a rotational axis about which the carrier rotates. A second set of planet gears is mounted to the carrier. An output sun gear is included, wherein the second set of planet gears are distributed around and mesh with the output sun. The output sun gear is configured to deliver rotational power to an internal combustion engine. The carrier is configured to selectively be driven by a variable speed drive to regulate output to the output sun over a range of input rotational speeds of the input sun gear.
Power train for electric vehicle
A power train for an electric vehicle may include a planetary gear set including three rotation elements having a first rotation element, a second rotation element and a third rotation element, wherein the first rotation element is connected to a first shaft, the second rotation element is connected to a second shaft, and the third rotation element is connected to a third shaft; a first motor mounted to selectively supply power to the first shaft in two or more gear ratios; and a second motor mounted to selectively supply power to the first shaft in two or more gear ratios. The third shaft is configured to be fixed to a transmission housing, and any two of the first shaft, the second shaft, and the third shaft are configured to be coupled to each other.
