A chain guide is provided that can improve the work efficiency during assembly and transportability with a simple structure. The chain guide includes a bushing structure where a bushing member is attached to a guide body at least in one location. The guide body includes a cylindrical insertion hole through which a bushing cylindrical part is inserted, and a backside restricting part that restricts movement of a flange part to the back side in the guide width direction. The guide body is provided, in each bushing structure, with a front-side restricting portion that restricts movement of the flange part to the front side in the guide width direction only in one location on the outer circumference of the cylindrical insertion hole when viewed in the guide width direction.

Chain guide and tensioning apparatus for vehicles

A chain guide and tensioning apparatus is disclosed that is configured for engagement (contact) with a driven chain (e.g., in an automotive engine). The chain guide and tensioning apparatus includes a guide body and a guide face overlying the guide body. The guide face defines an inner surface and an opposite outer surface that is configured to guide and tension the driven chain. The guide face includes a plurality of spacers that extend therefrom into engagement (contact) with the guide body so as to define at least one channel that is configured to facilitate air and/or lubricant circulation between the guide body and the guide face to reduce heat and friction generated by engagement of the driven chain with the guide face.

Tensioner unit, rocking lever, and tensioner

To provide a tensioner unit, a rocking lever, and a tensioner, which, prevent breakage of the tensioner in use for a prolonged period of time. A protruding part is provided to a rocking lever near an abutment surface for abutment with a plunger to make contact with a tensioner body. h and H satisfy the relationship of h<H, where h denotes a protruding amount of a lead part of the plunger, where the lead part means a part protruding from the plunger bore, from a tip end surface on an opened side of the tensioner body in a state where the plunger sits on a bottom of the plunger bore, and H denotes an interval between the abutment surface of the rocking lever and the tip end surface of the tensioner body when the protruding part is brought into contact with the tensioner body.

CHAIN GUIDE

Provided is a chain guide that enables a reduction in size with a simple structure, without lowering the strength of the chain guide. The base member 30 includes a side wall rib 32 or 33 extending upward higher than a shoe support surface 31 at at least one of both side edges 31a and 31b in a guide width direction. The guide shoe 20 includes, at at least one of both side edges 20a and 20b in the guide width direction, an upstream lip 22, a downstream lip 23, and a shoe widthwise recess 24 formed between the upstream lip 22 and the downstream lip 23 by inwardly recessing the side edge 20a or 20b of the guide shoe 20 in the guide width direction. The side wall rib 32 or 33 is located inside the shoe widthwise recess 24.

Compliant tensioner arm

A compliant tensioner arm assembly including an arm, an elastically deformable body disposed on a surface of the arm, and a sliding surface disposed on the elastically deformable body is disclosed. The elastically deformable body allows the sliding surface to yield to a load condition of the sliding surface so that the sliding surface yields to the load condition.

Manual window treatment having a floating chain tensioner

A manual drive assembly for a manually-operated window treatment based on a drive chain formed as a loop, may incorporate one or more intermediate tensioners disposed between two ends of the loop. The loop may be formed between a manual clutch mechanism coupled to the window treatment and an end tensioner. The one or more intermediate tensioners may serve to limit slack in the loop such that sides of the loop cannot be pulled to create a large loop, for example, having a gap of four inches or greater, between the hanging sides of the cord.

VARIABLE FORCE TENSIONING ASSEMBLY
20170356529 · 2017-12-14 ·

A variable force tensioning assembly creates and maintains a tension force on an endless loop used to transmit power. The variable force tensioning assembly includes a body having a cylinder defining a cylinder inner diameter. An outer piston is disposed substantially within the cylinder and slidable therewithin. The outer piston includes an outer piston tube and a chamber divider extending through the outer piston tube. The outer piston and the body define a low rate portion. An inner piston is disposed at least partially within the outer piston tube and is slidable therewithin. The inner piston defines a high rate portion and acts with the outer piston against the body to create a variable force to push against the endless loop to maintain a constant tension in the endless loop.

SHOE FOR CHAIN GUIDE AND FOR CHAIN TENSIONER ARM, AND CHAIN GUIDE AND CHAIN TENSIONER ARM PROVIDED WITH SAID SHOE

To simplify a structure and reduce costs. A shoe for a chain guide or for a chain tensioner arm is constructed. Here, a shoe (3) has a chain sliding surface (30) on which a chain slides. A locking protrusion such as a clip, a tab or a hook for locking the shoe (3) to a tensioner arm main body (2) of a chain tensioner arm (1) is not provided on an end surface of the shoe (3) or on a surface on the rear side of the chain sliding surface (30). Furthermore, the shoe (3) has a uniform cross-sectional shape over the whole length and extends linearly in the longitudinal direction.

CHAIN GUIDE ASSEMBLY FRAME

To provide a chain guide assembly frame capable of efficiently collecting the oil that adhered to various parts of the chain guide assembly, and guiding the collected oil to predetermined locations, to allow efficient use of oil, with a simple structure. The chain guide assembly frame includes driven sprocket holding portions, a fixed chain guide, and a pivoting chain guide holding portion on a main body. A drive sprocket holding portion is provided at a position lower than the driven sprocket holding portions. The main body includes a concave and/or convex oil passage that extends from an upper part toward a lower part to guide the oil toward above the drive sprocket holding portion.

CHAIN GUIDE ASSEMBLY FRAME

To provide a simple-structured chain guide assembly frame capable of reliably maintaining a correct positional relationship between a driven sprocket and a sprocket holding portion without the possibility of driven sprocket detachment. The chain guide assembly frame includes a main body having a fixed-guide-side sprocket holding portion and a pivoting-guide-side sprocket holding portion. The fixed-guide-side sprocket holding portion includes a first fixed-guide-side support portion that supports a driven sprocket at a first contact point, and a second fixed-guide-side support portion that supports the driven sprocket at a second contact point located more outside than the first contact point. When the driven sprocket is in an erected state in which the driven sprocket is supported at the first contact point and second contact point, the vector of gravity acting on the gravity center of the driven sprocket points between the first contact point and second contact point.
