In an example embodiment, the mounting apparatus comprises a body member, e.g., a mounting plate, for a pulley assembly. The body member incorporates a dedicated physical feature that is configured for engagement with a tensioning tool, for pulling the body member in a tensioning direction relative to the involved belt. The mounting apparatus comprises, for an example, an interior component of a robot, and is mounted within an interior volume of a segment of the robot, for tensioning of a drive belt carried within the interior volume.

LOW-PROFILE DRIVE MECHANISM

A drive mechanism includes a mount block extending along an axis and a plurality of electric motors supported by the mount block. The electric motors are arranged in series along the axis to define an initial electric motor, one or more intermediate electric motors, and a final electric motor. The drive mechanism also includes a gear mounted to each of the electric motors, and an output member driven by the gear mounted to the final electric motor to receive the combined rotational torque from the gears of the series of electric motors.

TENSIONING SYSTEMS AND METHODS

In an embodiment, a tensioning apparatus includes a housing and a fastener extending at least partially through the housing. The apparatus also includes a trolley adjustably positioned within the housing about the fastener. The apparatus also includes a pulley disposed outside the housing and coupled to the trolley, where the pulley moves in unison with the trolley along an opening in the housing.

Snowblower belt drive system

A snowblower belt drive system a tensioner pulley that can slide forwardly and rearwardly in a path that is substantially parallel to an endless drive belt between a drive pulley and a driven pulley. A drive belt engagement spring urges the tensioner pulley rearwardly along the slot to engage the drive pulley and driven pulley. A manual return spring urges the tensioner pulley forwardly along the slot to disengage the drive pulley and driven pulley.

FENESTRATION UNIT OPERATOR TENSIONER

A tensioner for a fenestration unit operator includes a base and a guide including a track, the track slidably receiving the base such that the base is restricted to sliding in a first direction with respect to the guide along a sliding axis and a second direction with respect to the guide along the sliding axis that is opposite to the first direction. The tensioner includes a pawl and a ratchet each being a part of one of the sled and the guide, respectively, the pawl being in biased engagement with the ratchet to permit sliding in the first direction and restrict sliding in the second direction, the pawl being configured to be manually disengaged from the ratchet to permit sliding in the second direction. The tensioner includes a pulley coupled to the sled such that the pulley is free to rotate about a rotational axis that is transverse to the sliding axis.

TENSIONER

A tensioner including a support member, a thrust member supported so as to be capable of reciprocating movement in a straight line along a first direction with respect to the support member, and a contact-type flat spiral spring. The flat spiral spring is disposed adjacent to the thrust member in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. The flat spiral spring has a coil axis direction running in a third direction orthogonal to both the first direction and the second direction and includes an inner-end portion anchored to the support member and an outer-end portion anchored to the thrust member so as to bias the thrust member in a forward-direction and so as to be wound-up by movement of the thrust member in a retraction-direction.

Hydraulic tensioning device for a chain drive

A hydraulic tensioning device for a chain drive, including tensioning piston, which is guided in a holder and which has locking grooves on the outer peripheral surface of the tensioning piston, and including a locking element, which has at least two annular sections and at least two radial extensions, wherein the locking element can be brought into engagement with one of the locking grooves by the at least two annular sections, and including a clamping stop and a sliding stop, which are axially spaced apart from each other. In order to simplify the design, the holder has at least two axial extensions, which extend in the axial direction between the clamping stop plane and the sliding stop plane. The at least two axial extensions and the tensioning piston do not enclose the at least two radial extensions.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TENSIONING A BELT OF A VIDEO CAMERA ASSEMBLY

A device for tensioning a belt of a video camera assembly, including a belt tensioner terminal and an elastic thrust element operating on the belt tensioner terminal for thrusting the belt tensioner terminal against the belt. The device further includes an adjustment element for determining an adjustable positioning of the belt tensioner terminal with respect to the belt and at least one constraint element for operating between a rest condition, where it does not constrain the positioning of the belt tensioner terminal, and a constraint condition, where it constrains in position the belt tensioner terminal. The adjustment element is operatively connected to the thrust element in a removable way. Advantageously, the thrust element and the adjustment element share a same operative direction, the at least one constraint element operating or developing along a direction which is orthogonal to said operative direction of the thrust element and of the adjustment element.

Chain drive tensioner spring force control mechanism

A tensioner which adjusts the mean tensioner force to keep the chain tension as low as possible without sacrificing chain control, significantly improving drive efficiency as the chain wears and is subject to low dynamic loads.
