Belt tightening mechanism for a fluid delivery system
In one embodiment, a fluid delivery system includes a motor assembly and a fluid pump assembly. The fluid pump assembly is spaced apart from the motor assembly, and at least one of the motor assembly or the fluid pump assembly is movable to change a distance between the motor assembly and the fluid pump assembly. The fluid delivery system includes a flexible linkage that couples the motor assembly to the fluid pump assembly, and is configured to transfer motion from the motor assembly to the fluid pump assembly. Further, the fluid delivery system comprises a linkage tightening mechanism configured to generate a tightening force on the linkage by biasing at least one of the motor assembly or the fluid pump assembly in a direction that increases the distance between the motor assembly and the fluid pump assembly.
Hydraulic tensioning device for an engine
A device for tensioning a roller chain in a chain drive system is disclosed. The device includes a floating shoe with a surface upon which the chain may slide and a housing. A tension force provided by a tension mechanism is directed from the housing to the floating shoe in an outward direction with respect to the path of the roller chain. A retention feature limits the distance the floating shoe may travel with respect to the housing.
SEALED TENSIONER WITH CLOSED CELL FOAM
A sealed tensioner is used in an automotive application to keep a belt or chain under its intended tension as it wears and stretches. The sealed tensioner is hydraulic but lacks an outside oil supply. The sealed tensioner, in an example, includes a body with a bore. A piston is carried in the bore. A clearance resides at a confrontation between the body and the piston. A check valve is situated between a low pressure reservoir and a high pressure chamber. The sealed tensioner further includes a closed cell foam that is situated at the low pressure reservoir.
Hydraulic auto-tensioner
A hydraulic auto-tensioner includes a sleeve; a rod vertically movable relative to the sleeve; a spring seat fixed to the portion of the rod protruding beyond the sleeve; a return spring configured to bias the spring seat upwardly; oil passages through which a pressure chamber communicate with a reservoir chamber; a check valve mounted to the oil passages; a tubular plunger vertically movably mounted between the outer periphery of the rod and the inner periphery of the sleeve; a first leakage gap defined between the inner periphery of the tubular plunger and the outer periphery of the rod; an upper stopper configured to restrict the upwardly movable range of the tubular plunger; and a pressure regulating spring disposed above the tubular plunger so as to surround the outer periphery of the rod.
TENSIONER WITH PISTON CONTAINING AN INTERNAL CHECK VALVE
A hydraulic tensioner for an internal combustion engine for tensioning a span of a chain or a belt has a piston with an internal reservoir connected to a high pressure chamber through a check valve assembly. The check valve assembly has a disk seat formed by an internal bulge within the piston; a check valve retainer within the piston, and a moveable disk that is received between the disk seat formed by the internal bulge and the check valve retainer and is moveable between a first position and a second position, and a check valve spring that is received between the check valve disk and the check valve retainer.
Chain drive tensioner spring force control mechanism
A tensioner which adjusts the mean tensioner force to keep the chain tension as low as possible without sacrificing chain control, significantly improving drive efficiency as the chain wears and is subject to low dynamic loads.
Electrical starter system for the retrofit of motorcycles
An electrical starter system and construction kit for retrofitting Harley-Davidson motorcycles built from 1936 to 1957 with a mechanical starting device. The starter system includes a clutch device that can be coupled to the transmission main shaft for transmitting rotary motion having at least one starter gearwheel, a clutch hub, a clutch cage that can be or is attached to the hub for transmitting a rotary motion and an electrical starter motor with a starter shaft pinion that can be driven by the electrical motor for engaging the starter gearwheel. The starter gearwheel can be mechanically coupled to the clutch hub for transmitting a rotary motion to the hub. Preferably, a gearwheel/hub adapter couples the clutch hub and the starter gearwheel. The adapter is or can be coupled to the starter gearwheel and the clutch hub and is or can be coupled to a transmission main shaft.
Forage Harvester
A forage harvester comprising a frame and a drive assembly is disclosed. The drive assembly comprises a drive pulley, a tension pulley, a plurality of additional pulleys and a drive belt for drivingly connecting the pulleys, a tensioning cylinder located between a first portion of the frame and a support element for the tension pulley. The frame is provided with a mounting at a second portion of the frame and the support element for the tension pulley is located between the mounting at a first end of the support element and the tensioning cylinder at a second end of the support element.
TIMING SYSTEM OF ENGINE
The present disclosure relates to a timing system of an engine, which is capable of coping with a pneumatic brake system requiring high drive torque without changing a cylinder block, a cylinder head, and a valve train. The timing system includes a gear train mechanism configured to transmit power of a crankshaft to an air compressor and a high pressure pump via gear transmission, a first chain mechanism configured to transmit the power transmitted to the high pressure pump to a camshaft via chain transmission, and a second chain mechanism configured to transmit the power of the crankshaft to an oil pump via chain transmission.
BELT TENSION ADJUSTMENT DEVIVE AND WORKING MACHINE
A belt tension adjustment device includes a driving pulley attached to a power transmission shaft, a driven pulley arranged in a driven device, a tension pulley, a loop belt arranged between the driving pulley, the driven pulley, and the tension pulley, and configured to transmit a rotational driving force of the power transmission shaft to the driven device, and a tension adjustment mechanism to adjust tension of the loop belt. The tension adjustment mechanism includes a support shaft rotatably supported, a rotational operation mechanism to rotate the support shaft about an axis of the support shaft, and a rotating member coupling the support shaft and the tension pulley, configured to change a relative position of the tension pulley with respect to the driving pulley and the driven pulley in accordance with rotating of the support shaft.
