Drive belt tensioner systems and methods

Embodiments of the present disclosure include a drive belt tensioner configured to adjust tension in a drive belt of a blower assembly for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system. The drive belt tensioner includes a mounting bracket configured to couple directly to a blower housing that is configured to house a blower of the blower assembly. The drive belt tensioner further includes an idler pulley configured to contact the drive belt. A position of the idler pulley is adjustable relative to the mounting bracket to enable adjustment of the tension in the drive belt.

The bearing includes a rotating outer ring mounted to the pulley, a fixed inner ring, and at least one row of rolling elements arranged between the rings. The pulley is provided with at least one pulley element that is C-shaped in axial section. The pulley device further includes at least one annular protection flange with a radial body. The flange is fixed to the rotating outer ring by crimping an axially protruding portion of the pulley towards an outer edge of the flange.

An air-cooled heat exchanger includes a plenum having an intake and a discharge, a cooling tube assembly inside the plenum, a fan assembly that has a fan, an engine positioned outside the plenum, and an internal drive assembly. The internal drive assembly is configured to transfer torque from the engine to the fan. The internal drive assembly is contained inside the plenum.

TENSIONING SYSTEMS AND METHODS

In an embodiment, a tensioning apparatus includes a housing and a fastener extending at least partially through the housing. The apparatus also includes a trolley adjustably positioned within the housing about the fastener. The apparatus also includes a pulley disposed outside the housing and coupled to the trolley, where the pulley moves in unison with the trolley along an opening in the housing.

A tensioning mechanism for a blind assembly is contemplated. The mechanism includes one or more constant force springs affixed to a frame member so as to hold a belt driver and gear assembly in sufficient tension to translate axial movements of an operator into rotational force sufficient to raise or lower the blind (i.e., sun-blocking elements).

COMMON DRIVE MEMBER FOR WEED SEED MILL OF COMBINE HARVESTER

An agricultural harvester includes a straw hood having a hollow interior space for receiving material other than grain (MOG) from a threshing and separating system of the harvester and chaff from a cleaning system of the harvester. A drive system is provided for powering a straw chopper and a weed seed mill. The drive system includes a single belt positioned outside of the straw hood that is wound at least partially around (i) a straw chopper pulley that powers the straw chopper, (ii) a weed seed mill pulley that powers the weed seed mill, and (iii) a power take off shaft of the harvester that receives power from an engine or other power source of the harvester.
