Anti-Rotation Mechanism for Telescopic Screw Assembly
An injection assembly includes a housing with a barrel positioned within the housing. The barrel includes an axis extending from a proximal end to a distal end thereof and a chamber for storing medicine. An elongate anti-rotation shaft is rotationally fixed to the housing and has a non-circular cross-section. The injection assembly includes an inner screw having an inner screw opening to complementarily receive the anti-rotation shaft to prevent rotation of the inner screw with respect to the anti-rotation shaft but allow respective linear translation along the axis. An outer screw is positioned within, and rotatable with respect to, the housing and has an outer screw opening to threadably receive the inner screw, wherein rotation of the outer screw translates the inner screw along the axis and along the anti-rotation shaft. A plunger is coupled to the distal end of the inner screw and is moveable with respect to the chamber to push the medicine out of the chamber when the outer screw is rotated.
Linear actuator and method for producing a linear actuator
A linear actuator comprising a spindle-based linear drive (1) having an inner threaded spindle (5) and an outer element (2) surrounding the threaded spindle (5), in which the threaded spindle (5) can be moved in the axial direction; and a telescopic housing (20) with a first telescope part (21) and a second telescope part (22), which is surrounded at least in part by the first telescope part (21). On its side facing the first telescope part (21), the second telescope part (22) has an adapter part (24) that is connected rotationally fixedly to the second telescope part (22) and has a central opening. The linear drive has a connecting element (30) that is mounted on the outer element (2) and comprises snap elements (31) that are engaged with the central opening of the adapter part (24) in such a manner that the connecting element (30) is held in the adapter part (24).
TWO SPEED TRAILER JACK
A linear jack includes an outer tube, a high speed assembly comprising a first rotating member threadedly coupled to a first translating member, a low speed assembly comprising a second rotating member threadedly coupled to a second translating member, wherein the low speed assembly is coupled to and translates with the first translating member. At least a portion of the high speed assembly is slidable in the outer tube between a first position, wherein the high speed assembly is engaged with a shaft, and a second position, wherein the high speed assembly is disengaged from the shaft. A thread pitch of the high speed assembly is greater than a thread pitch of the low speed assembly.
System, method and apparatus for a telescopic lead screw for a steering column
A steering column assembly includes a jacket. The assembly also includes a plurality of cylindrical lead screws threadably coupled to each other, the plurality of lead screws rotatable relative to each other and translatable relative to each other. The assembly further includes a nut threadably coupled to one of the plurality of lead screws and operatively coupled to the jacket to axially move the jacket.
Telescopic ballscrew actuator
An apparatus for a thrust reverser actuation system (“TRAS”), the apparatus comprising: an input shaft; a first component located concentrically around the input shaft; a second component located concentrically around the first component; a first balls crew mechanism between the input shaft and the first component, and configured such that rotational movement of the input shaft causes a translational movement of the first component via the first ballscrew mechanism; and a second ballscrew mechanism between the first component and the second component, and configured such that rotational movement of the first component causes a translational movement of the second component via the second ballscrew mechanism.
Medical Device Employing a Coaxial Screw Gear Sleeve Mechanism
Medical devices in accordance with various embodiments of the present invention employ one or more coaxial screw gear sleeve mechanisms. In various embodiments, coaxial screw gear sleeve mechanisms include a post with a threaded exterior surface and a corresponding sleeve configured to surround the post, the corresponding sleeve having a threaded interior surface configured to interface with the threaded exterior surface of the post and a geared exterior surface. A drive mechanism can be configured to interface with the geared exterior surface of the sleeve, causing the device to expand.
Staged telescopic screw assembly having different visual indicators
A telescopic screw assembly for an injector includes an inner screw, an outer screw and a middle screw. The middle and outer screws are in a first threaded engagement, and the inner and middle screws are in a second threaded engagement. The inner screw is nested with the middle screw and the middle screw is nested with the outer screw in a contracted configuration of the screw assembly. Rotation of the outer screw in one direction advances the middle screw relative to the outer screw via the first threaded engagement and advances the inner screw relative to the middle screw via the second threaded engagement to telescopically extend the screw assembly into an expanded configuration. At least two of the inner, middle and outer screws are identified with a different visual indicator to enhance visual distinction between the screws, and readily visually indicate an extension progress of the screw assembly.
