A telescopic apparatus is provided which can cause three or more cylindrical members to extend and contract smoothly without use of pneumatic pressure and hydraulic pressure. A telescopic apparatus includes: a first to a third cylindrical member that are nested; screw shafts supported rotatably and respectively by the first and second cylindrical members; nuts mounted respectively on the second and third cylindrical members to be threadedly engaged with the screw shafts of the first and second cylindrical members; and a transmission configured to transmit the rotation of the screw shaft of the first cylindrical member to the screw shaft of the second cylindrical member and to be movable in an axial direction relative to the screw shaft of the first cylindrical member. The screw shafts of the first and second cylindrical members rotate at one time to cause the first to the third cylindrical member to extend and contract.

The actuator includes a housing for encasing internal components of the device; a motor assembly for creating motion, the motor assembly being disposed within the housing; and a drive assembly for driving a pushrod, the drive assembly being arranged within the housing and slidingly connected to the motor assembly. A remote control communication circuit is electrically connected to the motor. The remote control communication circuit includes a short range transmitter/receiver for paring the actuator to an external control device and a longer range transmitter/receiver for communicating operational control signals between the external control device and the actuator.

RECIRCULATING BALL SCREW ROTARY ACTUATOR
20210310547 · 2021-10-07 · ·

A rotary actuator for a hinged panel assembly, e.g., of a fixed-wing aircraft, includes ball bearings, an outer cylinder, a piston, and an inner shaft. The outer cylinder admits fluid pressure from a fluid pressure supply. The piston is circumscribed by the outer cylinder. The piston, outer cylinder, and ball bearings collectively forming an outer ball screw. The piston translates along a longitudinal center axis in response to the fluid pressure. The inner shaft is circumscribed by the piston, with the inner shaft, piston, and ball bearings collectively forming an inner ball screw that is concentric with the outer ball screw. The ball screws form an interlaced ball circuit with one or more shared ball paths. Piston translation rotates the piston and inner shaft, and to thereby recirculates the ball bearings between the outer ball screw and the inner ball screw through the interlaced ball circuit.

Provided is an electric actuator, including: a driving motor (2); a motion conversion mechanism (6) configured to convert a rotary motion of the driving motor (2) to a linear motion in an axial direction parallel with an output shaft (2a) of the driving motor (2); and a transmission gear mechanism (5) configured to transmit a driving force from the driving motor (2) to the motion conversion mechanism (6). The driving motor (2) is mounted to an actuator case (9) to which a double-row bearing (24) configured to support the motion conversion mechanism (6) and a bearing (19) configured to support the transmission gear mechanism (5) are mounted.

SCREW JACK ASSEMBLY FOR PAVING MACHINE

A screw jack assembly includes a first body defining a longitudinal axis and a screw drive disposed within the first body. The screw jack assembly also includes a second body movable relative to the first body and coupled to the screw drive, and a first gear coupled to the screw drive. The screw jack assembly further includes a handle assembly having a tube member coupled to the first body. The handle assembly also includes a second gear coupled to the first gear. The handle assembly further includes a handle member coupled to the second gear and adapted to rotate about a rotational axis substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The handle member is adapted to selectively rotate between an operating position and a stowed position about the longitudinal axis based, at least in part, on rotation of the tube member relative to the first body along the longitudinal axis.

Spindle drive for curved path of movement

A spindle drive assembly includes a threaded spindle rotatable about a spindle axis; a threaded spindle nut disposed on the threaded spindle and configured to travel along the spindle axis via a rotation of the spindle; a ball stud attached to the spindle nut, the ball stud extending radially away from the spindle nut; an attachment plate configured to be attached to a part to be moved; and a ball socket connected to the attachment plate and having a cavity dimensioned for receiving the ball stud. The cavity of the ball socket has a first diameter in a direction perpendicular to the spindle axis and a second diameter parallel to the spindle axis, wherein the first diameter is greater than the second diameter.

System for detecting the position of a linear unit of a linear system

A linear system includes a linear unit and a motor adapted to drive the linear unit so as to perform a linear movement. A system for detecting the position of the linear unit includes an absolute encoder which is connected to the motor. The absolute encoder is configured so as to detect a position of the linear unit based on a movement of the motor.

Apparatus and methods for actuating a double-slotted flap using a slave screw

Apparatus and methods for actuating a double-slotted flap movably coupled to an aircraft wing are disclosed. An exemplary method comprises actuating a first panel of the double-slotted flap relative to a structure of the aircraft wing, using motion of the first panel to induce rotation of a slave screw, and using the rotation of the slave screw to actuate the second panel relative to the first panel.
