A vehicle driving device mounted on a hybrid vehicle includes an engine coupled to wheels of the vehicle via a power transmission path, a transmission mechanism disposed on the power transmission path, a motor generator, a first power transmission mechanism, and a second power transmission mechanism. The motor generator is disposed on a path coupling the engine and transmission mechanism, the first power transmission mechanism is disposed on a path coupling the engine and motor generator, the second power transmission mechanism is disposed on a path coupling the motor generator and transmission mechanism. These paths are included in the power transmission path. The first power transmission mechanism includes a large-diameter rotator and a small-diameter rotator coupled to the engine and the motor generator respectively. The second power transmission mechanism includes a small-diameter rotator and a large-diameter rotator coupled to the motor generator and the transmission mechanism respectively.
FOUR-MODE DUAL-MOTOR COUPLING ELECTRIC DRIVE AXLE
A four-mode dual-motor coupled electric drive axle, including a primary drive motor, an auxiliary drive motor, a reducer, a torque vectoring (TV) coupler, a power coupling differential, a housing, and a power output mechanism. The TV coupler is switchable among disconnected mode, TV mode, and reducer mode by controlling a first clutch and a second clutch. The power coupling differential is switchable between torque coupling mode and speed coupling mode by controlling a third clutch. The electric drive axle is switchable among single-motor drive mode, TV drive mode, dual-motor torque coupling drive mode, and dual-motor speed coupling drive mode by controlling the TV coupler and the power coupling differential.

Each of the transmission devices has an input shaft which can be operatively connected to a drive device of the motor vehicle, as well as a first output shaft, and a second output shaft, and has a spur gear differential transmission designed as a planetary transmission, via which the input shaft and an intermediate shaft that is coupled or can be coupled to an electric machine arranged coaxially to the input shaft are coupled to the first output shaft and the second output shaft. The electric machine is coupled to the input shaft in a first shift position of a shift device and to the intermediate shaft in a second shift position of the shift device.
Transmission having a torque vectoring superposition unit
A transmission having an input and first and second output shafts and first and second planetary gear sets. Torque introduced via the input shaft is distributed to the two output shafts in a defined ratio. An element of the first planetary gear set is connected to another element of the second planetary gear set and an element of the second planetary gear set is secured to a rotationally fixed component. A torque vectoring superposition unit has a third planetary gear set. A first element of the third planetary gear set is rotationally fixed to a linking shaft. A second element of the third planetary gear set is connected to a machine rotor. A third element of the third planetary gear set is rotationally fixed to an element of the second planetary gear set, which is fixed to the first output shaft.

A vehicle differential configured to enable variable speed between a first output shaft and a second output shaft, the vehicle differential including a ring gear, a first planetary gear carrier, the first planetary gear carrier carrying a plurality of first planetary gears at least partially positioned within the ring gear, the first planetary gear carrier operably coupled to a first output shaft, a second planetary gear carrier, the second planetary gear carrier carrying a plurality of second planetary gears at least partially positioned within the ring gear, the second planetary gear carrier operably coupled to a second output shaft, a first sun gear at least partially positioned within the plurality of first planetary gears, a second sun gear at least partially positioned within plurality of the second planetary gears, and a distributor shaft and reversal gear operably coupling the first sun gear to the second sun gear.
Integrated gear assembly
An integrated gear assembly includes a conjoined carrier assembly coupling a reducing gear set to a differential gear set. This includes first, second and third coaxial sun gears. The first sun gear meshingly engages first gear elements of stepped pinion gears of the reducing gear set. The second sun gear meshingly engages third pinion gears of the differential gear set. The third sun gear meshingly engages fourth pinion gears of the differential gear set. The third pinion gears of the differential gear set axially overlap second gear elements of the stepped pinion gears of the reducing gear set. The fourth pinion gears of the differential gear set axially overlap the third pinion gears of the differential gear set.
BEVEL RING GEAR WITH INTEGRATED PLANETARY DIFFERENTIAL
A bevel gear assembly for a vehicle includes a housing, a side plate, and a plurality of planet gears. The housing has an outer bevel gear profile and a first annular ring. The side plate is fixed to the housing and has a second annular ring. The plurality of planet gears is disposed axially between the first and second annular rings. In some example embodiments, the bevel gear assembly has a plurality of planet pins extending through respective planet gears of the plurality of planet gears. In an example embodiment, each of the planet pins of the plurality of planet pins extend through respective apertures in each of the first and second annular rings.
LEFT-RIGHT WHEEL DRIVING DEVICE
In a left-right wheel driving device (10) including two motors (1, 2) that drive left and right wheels and a gear mechanism (3) that amplifies a torque difference between the two motors (1, 2) and transmits the amplified torques to the left and right wheels, respective, rotating shafts (1A, 2A) of the two motors (1, 2) are coaxially disposed. The left-right wheel driving device (10) further includes motor shafts (11) that are positioned between the rotating shafts (1A, 2A) coaxially with the rotating shafts (1A, 2A) and that are each provided with a motor gear (21), counter shafts (12) that are disposed in parallel to the motor shafts (11) and that are each provided with a first intermediate gear (22) meshing with the motor gear (21) and a second intermediate gear (23) having a diameter smaller than that of the first intermediate gear (22), and output shafts (13) that are disposed in parallel to the motor shafts (11) and that are each provided with an output gear (24) meshing with the second intermediate gear(23). The gear mechanism (3) is disposed on one end side of each of the output shafts (13) and one of the left and right wheels is disposed on the other end side of the output shaft (13).
A VARIATOR-ASSISTED TRANSMISSION
A continuously variable transmission (CVT) is provided, where the CVT has an input shaft drivable by an engine, and an output shaft connectable to a load. A variator has an input side connected to the input shaft, and an output side. The variator is adjustable so as to vary a transmission ratio between the input and output sides. A differential transmission has a first differential input element connected to the input shaft, a second differential input element connected to the output side of the variator, and first and second differential output elements. A range transmission has a first range input element, and at least one range output element connected to the output shaft. A first connecting component selectively connects the first differential output element to the first range input element. A second connecting component selectively connects the second differential output element to the first range input element. The first and second connecting components are located in a connecting space defined between the differential and range transmissions. A vehicle incorporating this CVT, and a method of operating the CVT are also provided.
TORQUE VECTORING DEVICE
A torque vectoring device having a downsized brake device for stopping drive wheels is provided. The torque vectoring device comprises: a drive motor; a differential unit including a first planetary gear unit connected a right drive wheels, and a second planetary gear unit connected to a left drive wheel; a differential motor that applies torque to any one of reaction elements; a torque reversing mechanism that transmits torque between the reaction elements while reversing; a rotary shaft connecting input elements; a rotary member that transmits torque of an output shaft of the drive motor; and a brake device that is contacted frictionally to the rotary member to establish a braking force.
